Antonio Cassano Wants To Remain At Sampdoria - Agent

The press insist that Antonio Cassano will be leaving Sampdoria this summer, but his agent claims it's more likely he will remain, even if he will not completely rule out a transfer.

"He is happy, speaking about percentages is a difficult exercise," Giuseppe Bozzo explained to Blogosfere.

"Antonio is doing very well in Genoa, he likes Sampdoria, [sporting director Giuseppe] Marotta, [president Riccardo] Garrone and is grateful to all of them for his revival. He doesn't intend to move on."

Some speculate that Cassano will be on his way because of interest from Juventus and Inter, as well as the appointment of coach Luigi Del Neri with the Blucerchiati, with whom Cassano clashed with during his stint at Roma.

"At the moment I see no reason to talk about his departure [as there are no bids], if situations arise than they will be evaluated with the club, but they must improve the current state of things for all involved."

The Bari-born star had an excellent season in 2008-09, scoring 12 goals and creating 11 assists in 35 matches.
