Napoli Join Race For Sampdoria Star Antonio Cassano

After being linked to Inter over the past few days, Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano has now strayed into Napoli's sights, it would seem.

The former Roma player will be one of the main highlights in this transfer market, even though it is not certain that he will leave the Blucerchiati.

His future could in fact be tied to the transfers of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the San Siro and Ezequiel Lavezzi from San Paolo.

With either one of those players leaving, then Cassano is the most likely man to replace them, according to the latest transfer rumours.

However, not everyone seems so convinced that Cassano will leave, as his Doriani team-mate, Giampaolo Pazzini, is confident that next season he will still be playing alongside him.

"I’m convinced that Cassano will remain," declared the former Fiorentina player to the Gazzetta dello Sport at the end of Italy's match against Northern Ireland.

Cassano has been at Sampdoria since 2007, where he has played a total of 57 league games and scored 22 goals.
