Torino suffered a disappointing 3-2 defeat at home to Genoa,
meaning that relegation is looming for the Granata. The match ended on a sour
note as a brawl broke out between the two sides and Toro coach Giancarlo
Camolese believes he knows who the main culprit was.
“The brawl in the final stages? The guilty party is a major
player from Genoa – Thiago Motta, who provoked our bench by telling us to be
quiet,” he was quoted as saying by Datasport.
"These are situations we don’t want to see. Even if a team
has a 30 point lead over their rivals, that is not acceptable."
Torino are now are on the verge of going down to Serie B and
have just one match to save themselves when they face Roma at the Stadio Olimpico next Sunday.
“It’s difficult to stay calm after the tension throughout
the week,” admitted Camolese in conclusion."
Torino are currently third from the bottom in Serie A, tied
on 34 points with Bologna. The Rossoblu have an easier test as they host
Catania. In the event the teams are tied on points after the final round, Torino will be relegated due to an inferior head-to-head record.
