Cagliari Coach Allegri Pleased With Prestigious Victory Over Inter

Cagliari coach Massimiliano Allegri talked about the 2-1 win over Inter and his future.

Although today's match against Inter was meaningless for Cagliari apart from prestige, the 2-1 victory against the Italian champions this afternoon was still celebrated euphorically by the players and fans.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri was also very happy about this victory, which came after Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave his side an early lead.

"Both sides played well," he said to Datasport.it, "it wasn't easy with this heat, but we really wanted to finish the season well at home and we managed to do it.

"Today's result is very prestigious and crowns the excellent season we had."

The coach then reacted to the rumours linking him with a move to Milan.

"If Milan call me? I won't answer because I still have a two-year contract with Cagliari, I am tied to this club and I wanted to stay here," he concluded.

Cagliari are currently in 9th place with 53 points.
