Speaking to SkyItalia in the pre-match press conference, Jose Mourinho remained positive about his future in charge of the newly crowned Italian champions, as they look to gain a head start in this summer’s transfer market.
“I am more than happy with the progress the club is making with regards to the future. You could say I am satisfied with almost everything here at Inter,” he stated.
After claiming that he had a 99.9% chance of remaining in Milan, following reports of proposed offer from Real Madrid, ‘The Special One’ gave clarity to his decision not to declare his 100% commitment.
“We could say even 99.99%," said Mourinho.
"In the past, I have mistakenly committed myself 100% and in life you can never say for certain what the future may hold. The difference between 99.9 and 100 is so minute and down solely to a slight temptation.”
Mourinho then gave everyone an insight into a past flirtation with the Madrid club, when he talked about a previous rejection of a place on the Meringues bench.
“I have already rejected Real Madrid once before. After having just won my second championship title with Chelsea, I wanted to continue. I rejected the offer without a second thought.”
With the Nerazzurri in action against Cagliari tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how the Inter coach is welcomed following his 'slight temptation' to move to pastures new.
