David Pizarro Hoping Roma Renew His Contract Shortly

Roma will be looking to end their disappointing season on a high in their two remaining matches remaining against Milan and Torino respectively.

In the next round they are set to face the Rossoneri at the San Siro stadium, in a match where anything but a win could see them slip to seventh and out of the Europa League qualifying positions.

One man who is well aware of the significance of this clash is David Pizarro, a player who will need to be at his best to ensure that the Giallorossi have any chance of overcoming an in-form Milan outfit this weekend.

“Our match against Milan will be a beautiful game to play and to watch,” Pizarro affirmed in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“It is very important for both clubs involved, as we want to keep hold of sixth place and ensure that we take something away from the season.”

The Chilean was finally asked about his future in the Italian capital and the current situation with his contract.

“A contract renewal? At this point there haven’t been any discussions. I do have a contract until 2010, however I am expecting a call from the club soon.”
