Roberto Mancini was replaced by Jose Mourinho at the end of last season. However, he was the first to utilize Julio Cesar at Inter and he had praise for the Brazilian shot stopper following Inter's Scudetto triumph.
"I don't know anyone that has earned their place more on the field...working with great enthusiasm and professionalism," the former Sampdoria legend explained to Mediaset Premium 24.
"There are three or four goalkeepers in the world on the same level, but Julio Cesar is in better shape and top condition. Every year he has improved by winning another championship. Congratulations also to Inter."
Meanwhile, 'Mancio' revealed nothing new about his future and impending return to coaching.
"I hope to return to the bench soon, but currently there is no news," he concluded.
