Mauro Zarate has made quite an impression at Lazio. The club are keen to sign the player on a permanent basis, as he is currently on-loan from Al Sadd, but thus far a deal has not yet been ironed out. Nonetheless, president Claudio Lotito is confident he will sign the player.
"Zarate? The negotiations are evolving, we will see what happens," the Aquilotti supremo explained to Radio Kiss Kiss.
"There are both technical and legal issues that need to be resolved. Lazio have the desire to keep the player and the economic means as well."
Meanwhile, Lotito rubbished the declarations of the agent of Cristian Ledesma, who claimed that his client was of interest to Napoli. "I don't know anything about this. Among other things perhaps he is trying to assist in his contract negotiations," he suggested.
Zarate has been in fine form for the Biancocelesti this season, grabbing 12 goals in Serie A.
