Milan Could Win The Scudetto If There Were 10 Matches Left - Inzaghi

'Super Pippo' admits it could be too late for his side to challenge for the Italian league title...
Milan are in a rich vein of form and have taken advantage of recent slip-ups by Inter and Juventus to jump into second place while decreasing the gap on their city rivals at the top of the table to just seven points.

However, there are just five matches left in the season and Rossoneri striker Filippo Inzaghi wishes there was more time for his side to mount a comeback and challenge for the Scudetto.

"We are missing about ten matches," sighed the former Juventus hitman to Tuttosport on Wednesday.

"There are too few matches [left]. I prefer to look at those who are fighting with us for a spot in the Champions League. Dreaming does not cost us anything, but personally I think it is too difficult."

The 35-year-old, after a slow start to the campaign, has been finding the net with consistency and has managed 12 goals in 21 Serie A appearances. He and his team-mates face Catania in Sicily on Sunday.
