Former Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni believes that despite Milan's strong surge, Inter will win the Scudetto this season unless they contrive to throw it away.
The Rossoneri have narrowed the gap down to just seven points. Zaccheroni coached Milan to a famous comeback to overhaul Lazio and win the 1998/99 title. However, the former Diavolo tactician doesn't believe his old side will do it again ten years on.
"Seeing that there are only a few games left until the end of term, I think the gap is still plenty between Inter and Milan," Zaccheroni told R101.
"At this point only Inter can lose the Scudetto. History shows that a team should never give up or take their foot off the pedal.
"Milan are enjoying a great moment both physically and mentally and they are not finding it hard to win games. Milan have to be ready if Inter slow down."
The Rossoneri clash with Catania in Sicily on Sunday afternoon as they continue to chase the league leaders.
