Milan Vice-President Galliani Labels Scudetto Talk As 'Crazy'

The man nicknamed 'Uncle Fester' has ruled out a title run in the latter weeks of the Serie A campaign...
AC Milan seem to be the in-form team in Serie A at the moment, especially after they collected a spectacular 5-1 victory over Torino at the San Siro.

The win allows the Rossoneri to move onto 64 points, leapfrogging Juventus to take second place on goal difference, leading some to believe they could still make a late run in the final stages of the season.

However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has urged fans not to get their hopes up.

"We have managed to recover a seven-point difference in just a few days. However, to think of the Scudetto would be crazy," he suggested to Sky, clearly in a positive mood after the impressive performance of his side.

"There are still 18 points left in the season, eight points will suffice for Inter, but they will certainly get many more."

Milan face high-flying Palermo next weekend, who also grabbed a resounding victory by defeating relegation-threatened Bologna 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

Inter are ten points ahead of Milan and it is a near certainty they will pick up a fourth consecutive Scudetto, barring a major collapse.
