Simon Kjaer To Stay At Palermo

The in-demand Dane has confirmed that he has no intention of leaving the Rosanero this summer...
Palermo defender Simon Kjaer wants to continue his rapport with his current team as he wants to respect the contract he has with the Sicilian side.

Kjaer has been impressive this year and a plethora of clubs are vying for his signature, but he has made it clear that he will still be playing with the Rosanero next season.

"I will surely remain at Palermo," declared the Danish defender to Tuttopalermo.net. "I will respect the contract that I have with the club.

"I'm fine at Palermo. I thank the public who always supports me: this is a reason of pride for every player.

"I want to continue to always do well with this shirt."

In his very positive first season at Palermo, following his summer move from Midtjylland, the 20-year-old player has made 22 league appearances for the club and also scored three goals.

The Rosanero noticed him during the 2008 Viareggio Tournament and beat the competition of other clubs who had short-listed him.
