Juventus’ Nicola Legrottaglie Reprimands Mario Balotelli For ‘Avoidable’ Behaviour

The centre-back was more disappointed with Balotelli’s on-pitch behaviour than the final result in Turin last night...
Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie expressed his dissatisfaction for the way Mario Balotelli, the Inter talent, behaved on the pitch in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash.

The Italy stopper claimed that he was kicked twice from behind by the 18-year-old, whose opening goal for the Nerazzurri was cancelled out by Znedek Grygera in the second half.

Legrottaglie foresees a brilliant future for Balotelli, but he advised him that he needs to change his ways because he does not need such behaviour to turn into a world-class player.

"We shouldn't even compliment him! I don't want to be the moralist, but in the first half he kicked me twice from behind when the action was stopped," explained the former Chievo Verona player to Sky.

"He has some behaviour which in my opinion he can avoid. He's a great champion and he doesn't need to behave like this.

"Maybe someone made him think that by behaving in this manner, his qualities are highlighted. However, it is not like this; he will become a great champion and doesn't need these things."
