Roma defender Christian Panucci has hinted at staying in the capital, but he may not get what he wants at the end of the season.
The Italian's current deal with the Giallorossi expires in June, but the club seem unwilling to keep him on following his public outburst back in January. Many will remember Panucci launched an attack on club and coach for his lack of playing time. However, he apologised and seemed to get back on the straight and narrow.
Now Romanews.eu have reported that the defender stopped to sign autographs and speak with fans outside Trigoria where he told them how he felt about his future, hoping Roma are listening.
"I am out of contract, but if it was down to me then I would stay," Panucci told fans outside the training ground.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team worked hard on schemes to take down Lecce this Sunday. Francesco Totti trained well and he is likely to feature against the Salentini alongside Julio Baptista.
