Juventus Striker Vincenzo Iaquinta Throws Down The Gauntlet To Inter

‘Spartacus’ is charged up for the crunch match with the Nerazzurri and has admitted that he is ready to sign a renewal.

Juventus welcome Inter to the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night and Vincenzo Iaquinta knows full well how much the Old Lady supporters are looking forward to this clash.

The Beneamata lead Juve by ten points in the table and this could truly be the last chance saloon for Claudio Ranieri’s men to re-open the title race.

“We will play to get the three points and I’m sure that [Inter coach Jose] Mourinho will not come to Turin and play for a draw,” Iaquinta told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“In spite of everything, this match is still worth a lot to us and the fans. We have to go for a win because we have to look out for Milan and Genoa. [Inter] certainly have something more than us, but the truth is we have dropped so many points against the lesser teams.”

There have been suggestions that Iaquinta could move on at the end of the season because Juve are allegedly following Fabio Quagliarella and Diego Milito.

“I have three more years on my contract and I am prepared to extend it,” noted the Italian international.

“This is a great club with great ambitions and we might win something this year.”
