Ledesma Will Only Stay At Lazio If The Price Is Right - Agent

Apparently, the Argentine playmaker would like a higher wage...
Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma has been trying to secure a new contract with the club since last season, but the prolonged negotiations between the two parties continues to remain unresolved.

"No one has said that the relationship between Ledesma and Lazio is ending, [president Claudio] Lotito has agreed to meet with us at the end of the season," the player's agent, Vincenzo D'Ippolito, explained to Radio Radio.

"If there is an adjustment in the [financial] level of his contract towards the other player's who earn more, then I can definitely say he will remain."

The agent was quick to point out that whether coach Delio Rossi continues in his role with the Biancocelesti will have no bearing on whether Ledesma stays, despite their sometimes strained relationship in the past.

"I certainly would not have trouble finding another team for him. In any case, the decision about Delio Rossi does not affect Ledesma's choices."

Ledesma has been with the club since 2006. He has been a key figure in the midfield this season, making 29 appearances and scoring twice in league action.
