The issues of Inter’s Brazilian striker,
Adriano, have been well publicised in recent times, as he has temporarily walked
away from the game due to problems, both on and off the field,
that have been troubling him this season.
Many have had their say on the
26-year-old’s situation and whether or not his decision is
the correct one. The latest to do so is the president of the Nerazzurri, Massimo
Moratti, who expressed his sympathy for the wayward hitman.
“I’m not shocked with what has happened,
although I am very sorry that he is in this situation,” Moratti claimed in an
interview with Sky.
“I sincerely regret that it so
effortlessly got to this point, but I do believe that it is the best
solution for him.
“I have not spoken to him lately, but the
most important thing is that he is coping well and dealing with his problems.”
Moratti’s Inter have the chance to all
but secure the Scudetto this weekend, when they travel to Turin to take on Juventus at the Stadio
Olimpico.
