With Inter and Brazil star Adriano seemingly intent on giving up on his football career at just 27 years of age, many of his countrymen and former team-mates have said they want to help the 'Emperor'.
The latest is former Brazilian international Roberto Carlos, who asked Adriano to join him at his current club Fenerbahçe. However, the player's agent Gilmar Rinaldi denied there is any chance of him joining the Turkish club.
"There's no truth in that and no one contacted me with a proposition like that," he said in an interview with Globoesporte.com. "There's no chance of that happening."
Rinaldi will soon return to Italy to discuss Adriano's situation. The agent wanted to clear up a few more issues on that.
"Everything they say in Italy is pure speculation," he continued. "Tomorrow I will be in Milan and I will talk about it with Inter's management. Also, there is no clause in his contract that says Adriano can't play in another European club in the next two years."
