Juventus have confirmed the annulment of Jorge Andrade's contract with the club after being given the go-ahead by the Italian football league (Lega Calcio).
The player joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2007 following promotion back to Serie A, but he suffered two serious knee injuries which have prevented him from playing for the club. During the time he made only four appearances.
Juventus asked the Lega Calcio for permission to rescind Andrade's deal, and they have now confirmed it.
A statement on the club's official website reads:
"Juventus and Jorge Almeida Gomes de Andrade have reached an agreement to mutually resolve their relationship and define the pending process in front of the Lega Calcio.
"Therefore the player will be released from his contract and will be free to find another club.
"Juventus would like to wish Andrade the very best for his career both at club and international level."
