Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has been rewarded with a new contract, and he has signed on at the club until 2014.
His old deal was set to expire at the end of next season, but the club have moved early to ensure their midfield dynamo's future is safe and happy.
A statement on the club's official website reads:
"FC Internazionale and Esteban Cambiasso would like to communicate that with reciprocal satisfaction a deal to extend his contract with the club until June 30, 2014 has been reached.
"A press conference with the player will be held at Appiano Gentile on Wednesday March 25."
The former Real Madrid man joined the Nerazzurri in 2004 from the Santiago Bernabeu after the Spanish giants failed to renew his contract. He has won three Scudetti, two Coppa Italia's and three Italian Super Cups with the Milanese giants.
