Inter are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer, and Benfica ace Hassan Yebda has been added to the list of possibilities.
Tuttomercatoweb.com claim the Nerazzurri have been looking at the Frenchman this season, and Massimo Moratti is keen on making contact with the Portuguese club over making a claim for the player.
Reports suggest the Auxerre youth team product is wanted by most of Europe's big clubs, but Inter are keen on moving early to avoid disappointment. Tuttomercato claim Yebda almost joined Sampdoria last term, but Benfica came in to prise him away from the Italian team's clutches.
Although the Nerazzurri are reportedly keen on him, they will have to convince Benfica to sell up. It will not be easy as the Italians will have to buy out the player's contract which will have three years left to run on it by the time proceedings can begin in the summer.
It is believed the French midfielder will cost around €10 million, which may appeal to Jose Mourinho. A number of midfielders are set to leave the Milanese club at the end of term as the coach plans wholesale changes to the squad.
