'Inter are running out of players!' - Stramaccioni rues injury problems

The young coach has voiced his concern at the Nerazzurri's ever-increasing casualty list but believes they can still return to the top of Italian football
Andrea Stramaccioni has bemoaned Inter's injury problems in recent weeks and has jokingly stated that they are running out of players.

The Giuseppe Meazza side were already without the likes of Antonio Cassano, Rodrigo Palacio, Diego Milito and Esteban Cambiasso due to injury, while Walter Samuel also picked up a knock ahead of Sunday's Serie A match away against Palermo.

"Our biggest regret is that we've had to make do without some of our most important players," Stramaccioni said at a press conference.

"I'm very calm at the moment because the players we have available are doing a great job. There aren't many left though.

"We're disappointed because we certainly could have had a few more points. Some things have gone well, others less so. Our aim remains to get Inter back up among the top spots.

"Cassano and Palacio? Their recovery periods are quite similar."

Inter currently sit fifth in the Serie A table with 53 points from 33 games, six points adrift of rivals AC Milan in the  Champions League places.
