Udinese confirm Inter approach for Cuadrado

Udinese director of sport Fabrizio Larini has revealed that Inter have already been in touch about signing Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombia international is currently enjoying a productive spell on loan at Lecce but he is scheduled to return to the Friuli at the end of the season and his future has been the subject of much debate.

It now seems that Cuadrado could easily end up at San Siro, with Larini explaining that the Nerazzurri have been tracking the versatile attacker for some time.

“There was interest from Inter for the player [in January]," he told FCInternews.it. "But the situation did not progress because Cuadrado was completing his maturation process with Lecce and we thought it would be best not to interrupt that."

With Inter due in Udine on Saturday for a crucial Serie A clash, there is now every chance that the two clubs could reopen negotiations for the 23-year-old forward.

Cuadrado, who has been capped nine times by his country, has netted three times in 29 Serie A appearances for Lecce this term.
