Inter only thinking about Atalanta clash, affirms Ranieri

Claudio Ranieri insists Inter have their eyes solely on Sunday's Serie A encounter with Atalanta, despite the disappointment of being eliminated from the Champions League.

The Milanese giants were dumped out of the competition in the round of 16 against Marseille, on Tuesday, but the 60-year-old is confident they are showing signs of a renaissance, after being presented with the chance to make it three wins on the bounce against the Orobici.

"Going out of the Champions League is behind us now and it must remain behind us. We're looking forward," said Ranieri at a pre-match press conference.

"Although we got knocked out, we've now won two games in a row. That's an important step and it helps us maintain our determination and our desire to prove that even in a season like this we want to do well.

"The future is tomorrow and trying to beat Atalanta. We're not looking elsewhere, we're just concentrating on ourselves. We're only thinking about tomorrow."

Kick-off at San Siro is scheduled for 15:00CET, as Inter aim to climb to sixth place in the league standings.
