Milan Keeping Tabs On PSV Defender Stanislav Manolev - Report

PSV defender Stanislav Manolev has reportedly attracted the interest of Milan.
Bulgarian defender Stanislav Manolev could be on his way out of Eredivisie table toppers PSV as Serie A giants Milan have shown an interest in signing the highly rated full-back, according to a report in Voetbal International.

The Rossoneri aren't too satisfied with the performance of current right-back Iganzio Abate and are therefore looking to add some fresh blood to their back-line in the winter transfer window.

Milan were previously linked with Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel, but the Dutch international appears to be too expensive. Therefore, they've turned their attention elsewhere and head coach Massimiliano Allegri supposedly sees Manolev as the perfect alternative.

The 24-year-old defender joined PSV from Litex Lovech in the summer of 2009 and has since become an important first team member at the Dutch giants.

Milan scouts watched Manolev in action in Bulgaria's 4-0 Euro 2012 qualifier loss against England earlier this season and have since been keeping tabs on the full-back.

Manolev's current contract with PSV runs until the summer of 2012, but the Eindhoven side could decide to cash in on the full-back if an offer in the region of €6 million comes in.
