FIFA agent Sabatino Durante has revealed Palermo were close to having Argentine Javier Pastore and Lazio favourite Hernanes playing together this season, but instead the two will come face to face this weekend.
Durante spoke to Palermo24.net explaining the qualities of the two players, something that the Rosanero were very close to unleashing together on the rest of Serie A.
"Pastore is in constant evolution, a great footballer, while Hernanes is not a playmaker like the Argentine. [Lazio coach Edy] Reja is using him between the lines and he is playing well," said Durante.
"Hernanes at his best will give Lazio someone to build their team around but this season he will be short on gas, as he would be preparing to finish the Brazilian season on December 5.
"They are two great players who could play together and they were very close to, but the Rosanero were unwilling to meet the figure."
The agent also went on to speak of another talent born in Serie A, Inter's Philippe Coutinho.
"There is one born every 30 years," Durante said of the starlet.
