Adriano Galliani: Hugo Lloris Could Have Been A Milan Player

The vice-president says it was the refusal of Cristian Abbiati to go to Palermo that cost them the now-Lyon shot-stopper...
Milan vice-president Adrian Galliani has recounted how he let current Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris through his fingers in the 2008 summer.

Lloris put on a matchwinning performance during his side's quarter-final second leg tie against Bordeaux, assuring that les Gones pregressed to the semi-finals of the tournament.

"Lloris was practically ours during the 2008 summer transfer season," Galliani told Milannews.it. "We had already reached an accord with him and his agent [his father].

"But the refusal of Christian Abbiati to transfer to Palermo put the sale in danger," added Galliani.
