Boca Juniors Defender Ezequiel Munoz To Join Fiorentina In January - Report

The 18-year-old rising star is expected to join the Viola during the winter transfer window, paving the way for Dainelli’s exit.
According to a report in Tuscan paper La Nazione, Fiorentina have virtually agreed terms to bring talented Boca Juniors central defender Ezequiel Munoz to the Stadio Franchi next January.

The highly-rated youngster has been tracked by the Gigliati director of sport, Pantaleo Corvino, for some time now and it is suggested that Boca have accepted a bid in the region of €10 million.

The arrival of Munoz will most likely spell the end of veteran centre-back Dario Dainelli’s stay in Tuscany, as the 30-year-old has already reached an agreement with the club that he will be released in January.

Dainelli had been on Sampdoria’s radar earlier this summer and the Blucerchiati were reportedly ready to invest €3m to take him to the Stadio Ferraris.

The bid was rejected but the move is now expected to go through next January.
