Savio Nsereko’s Move From West Ham United To Fiorentina Shrouded In Confusion

Doubts persist over the terms of the Germany Under-21 forward’s switch from the Hammers to the Viola.
Serie A club Fiorentina completed the signing of attacking midfielder Savio Nsereko from Premier League outfit West Ham United in exchange for Portuguese central defender Manuel da Costa on Monday.

The deal is believed to be a straight swap and both players have supposedly joined their new clubs on a permanent basis, as confirmed by Fiorentina on their official website.

But today claims that there is a clear discrepancy between the Tuscans’ statement and the one released on the Lega Calcio website, where it is alleged that the Viola have only acquired a 50 per cent share in Savio.

The confusion probably arises from the terms of the agreement, which will see the east London club retain 50 per cent of the former Brescia man’s sell-on value, as reiterated by Hammers chief executive Scott Duxbury last night.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina have announced that the 20-year-old will be unveiled to the press at the Franchi on Wednesday morning at 11:30 CET.
