Report: Genoa Sign Domenico Criscito From Juventus In Co-Ownership Deal

The Grifoni have agreed a €5.5m transfer fee with the Bianconeri for the 22-year-old defender.
After weeks of discussions, Genoa and Juventus have reached an agreement to share the services of Italy Under-21 defender Domenico Criscito, according to Calciomercato.it.

Criscito had been on loan at Marassi since January 2008 and Genoa have opted to take up their option to make the move permanent for a fee in the region of €5.5million.

A deal was struck this morning and an official announcement is expected over the next few hours.

The rumours have been confirmed by the player’s agent, Sandro Gedda, who had earlier revealed Genoa were keen to retain the services of the Neapolitan.

“I think that, despite a few hitches, the two clubs were very close to an agreement,” he said to Calciomercato.it.

“Genoa had decidedly expressed their wish to acquire a 50 per cent share of the player’s rights, so I suppose it is now very likely that negotiations are over.”
