Fabio Cannavaro Happy To Take A Pay Cut At Juventus - Agent

Fabio Cannavaro will be happy to play at Juventus for less money as his agent explains the Real Madrid defender is ready to take a pay cut, such is his ambition to join the club he quit after the 2006 Calciopoli scandal.

News in Italy has been dominated with the return of Cannavaro to the Bianconeri this summer as his contract with Real Madrid will expire in June. One of his agent's Gaetano Fedele earlier revealed that talks with Juventus were progressing to his liking. Enrico Fedele who is also the player's agent admits the Italian international will take a pay cut in order to facilitate his move back to Turin.

"Fabio will be extremely happy to return to Juventus with wages which will be inferior to what he is currently earning [at Real Madrid]," Fedele told Radio Kiss Kiss.

Reports suggested that Marcello Lippi told Juventus to sign the stopper when he met with Jean-Claude Blanc two weeks ago. However, the agent is not aware of whether the defender came into their discussion.

"I don't know if Juventus took advice from Marcello Lippi, but Cannavaro is available, and there are still certain things to clear up. We can only talk about certain things once Real Madrid receive the fax from the Bianconeri," concluded the agent.
