Commentary

Anyway, that's all from me. I hope you enjoyed following our live text coverage. Until next time, goodbye!
The three points move Liverpool into third place, just a point behind Manchester United and four behind Manchester City who have a game in hand. They face Brighton next as they look to make it three wins in a row. West Ham remain fifth but are likely to be leapfrogged by Tottenham who sit two points behind with two games in hand. Moyes will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways when they take on Aston Villa midweek.
Three brilliant second-half goals from the Premier League champions means they leave the London Stadium with a 3-1 victory over West Ham. After a fairly uneventful opening 45 minutes, Salah broke the deadlock in the 57th minute when he curled an effort into the far corner. And the Egyptian doubled Liverpool's lead not long after with another spectacularly taken goal at the end of a lightning counter-attack. Wijnaldum made it three in the 84th minute before Dawson's consolation goal took some of the gloss off the performance.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: WEST HAM 1-3 LIVERPOOL
90' + 3' Liverpool spray it around at the back for a while before the hosts finally get a sniff. However, they can't make much happen as the game draws to a close.
90' + 2' Jones has the ball in an advanced area before turning back for Thiago. Liverpool are hanging onto the ball in the closing stages of this one.
90' + 1' There will be a minimum of three added minutes.
89' It's another set-piece goal for the London club. Their prowess from dead-ball scenarios makes it all the stranger that they opted to take a couple of short corners in the first half.
C. Dawson
Goal
87' GOOOAAAALL! WEST HAM PULL ONE BACK! The Hammers win back-to-back corners and at the second time of asking, Dawson is on hand to convert from close range after Robertson flicked it into the West Ham defender's path. It's surely nothing but a consolation, but they all count! 3-1!
Roberto Firmino
Assist
84' It's an assist for Firmino who was well within his rights to have a go himself. Instead, he noticed Wijnaldum with the goal at his mercy.
G. Wijnaldum
Goal
84' GOOAAAAAAAL! WIJNALDUM MAKES IT THREE! This is a brilliant team goal and Firmino is at the heart of it. The Brazilian plays a delightful one-two with Oxlade-Chamberlain before selflessly laying it on a plate for Wijnaldum who couldn't miss. Irresistible from the Reds! 3-0!
82' Fredericks shows an injection of pace that has been lacking for West Ham as he bursts up the right flank. He gets to the ball before it goes out of play but his cross is gratefully gathered by Alisson in goal.
81' Benrahma breaks up the left but can't escape the clutches of Alexander-Arnold who nudges the ball out for a throw-in.
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain
D. Origi
80' After taking a slight knock, Origi makes way for Liverpool with Oxlade-Chamberlain getting a 10-minute runout.
R. Fredericks
J. Bowen
79' It's a double change for the home side as Bowen is withdrawn in place of Fredericks.
M. Noble
M. Antonio
79' Antonio couldn't add to his goal tally against Liverpool and is replaced by Noble.
77' The hosts enjoy a spell of possession in front of the Liverpool backline. When they eventually get the ball into the box, Salah is on hand to head clear at the back post.
75' Wijnaldum lays it off for Salah who is looking for the hat-trick. However, he gets his first-time strike all wrong and it sails over the crossbar.
74' The sting has well and truly been take out of this game. Liverpool win a corner but are in no hurry to take it.
73' In Salah's 21 Premier League starts for Liverpool without team-mate Sadio Mane, he has been directly involved in 29 goals (20 goals and nine assists).
71' It looks like Liverpool will extend their unbeaten run over West Ham to 10 and break their winning streak.
Roberto Firmino
X. Shaqiri
69' Firmino is on for Liverpool for the last 20 minutes, replacing Shaqiri who can be happy with his performance.
X. Shaqiri
Assist
68' Shaqiri, who seems to perform admirably every time he's called upon, registers a deserved assist for his pinpoint ball into Salah!
Mohamed Salah
Goal
68' 2-0 LIVERPOOL! WHAT A GOAL! From a West Ham corner, this is devastating from the Premier League champions. Alexander-Arnold finds Shaqiri who is bolting up the left wing before the Swiss player swings in a pinpoint throughball for Salah. The Egyptian still has it all to do but his first touch is exquisite and he dinks it past Fabianski with his second. 2-0!
67' Robertson does well to divert the ball out for another West Ham corner.
66' It's a very good corner and Dawson gets to it first. He should do better but can't make good contact with his header.
66' Coufal finds Bowen on the right with the latter winning a throw-in. The Hammers work the ball from right to left and back again before Yarmolenko wins a corner off Jones.
65' Curtis Jones (20y 1d) becomes the youngest Liverpool player to assist a Premier League goal since Trent Alexander-Arnold in September 2018 v Southampton (19y 350d). He did so 34 seconds after coming on.
63' The game is still very much alive at 1-0. Bowen wins a corner off Robertson but Soucek is penalised in the box for a high boot.
62' Jones is at it again and almost sets up another chance. However, just as he's about to fire the ball into the box, he takes a heavy touch and concedes a goal-kick.
A. Yarmolenko
Pablo Fornals
62' Moyes now makes his first change of the game. Fornals makes way for Yarmolenko.
59' Incidentally, that was Salah's first Premier League goal in six matches.
C. Jones
Assist
57' Jones registers an assist moments after replacing Milner. It was his bursting break that made it all possible!
Mohamed Salah
Goal
57' GOOOOAAAAAL! SALAH OPENS THE SCORING! Jones has been on the field a matter of seconds but does brilliantly, breaking forward before finding Salah on his right. The Egyptian squares up with Cresswell before shifting the ball onto his left foot and finding the far corner with precision. 1-0!
C. Jones
J. Milner
57' Klopp makes the first change of the game with Jones replacing Milner.
56' WIDE! The Hammers break with Bowen up the right. The Englishman's cross into the box is missed by Milner, allowing Antonio the opportunity to get a shot away. He strikes it well but it flashes just wide of the post!
54' Henderson floats an exquisite ball over the top for Salah who has made a run in-between the West Ham centre-backs. The Egyptian gets his head to it but can't get enough power on it to trouble Fabianski.
53' Fornals and Cresswell break for West Ham. The former has Antonio free at the back post but can't pick him out with his cross.
52' Antonio is chasing down a loose ball but Alisson is quickly off his line to get their first.
50' Salah returns the favour, finding Origi in the box. It's a tight angle but the Belgian has a go anyway, striking it well into the side netting.
49' CHANCE! Origi makes a brilliant break down the left before cutting the ball back for Salah. Cresswell is sleeping initially but recovers just in time to block the Egyptian's effort on goal.
T. Souček
Yellow Card
49' Soucek picks up a yellow card for the foul he committed in the build-up to the Liverpool move.
48' The free-kick is well defended by Coufal who is clattered by Phillips in the process.
D. Rice
Yellow Card
47' Rice is the first player into the book after catching Henderson late.
46' Liverpool are immediately on the attack with Thiago looking to play Alexander-Arnold in. It's just out of reach for the Englishman who was offside anyway.
46' We're back underway for the second half. No changes for either side!
Neither side looked particularly creative in the opening 45 minutes, but both were solid at the back. In particular, the centre-backs for the two teams were equal to every task thrown their way. If the deadlock is to be broken in the second period, Thiago for Liverpool looks like the player most likely to be at the heart of it. The second half is next!
It's 0-0 at the break between West Ham and Liverpool with both sides struggling to fashion much in the way of clear-cut chances. Benrahma had a half chance when he was picked out by Cresswell but couldn't get the ball out his feet, and the visitors took on a number of ambitious shots with none troubling Fabianski.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: WEST HAM 0-0 LIVERPOOL
45' + 1' Salah gets a shot away from the edge of the box but it's straight at Fabianski who gathers comfortably.
45' + 1' There will be one minute of added time.
45' WIDE! Thiago's eye-of-the-needle pass gives Origi a sniff of a chance to break the deadlock. The Belgian gets to it first, but under pressure from Dawson, can't find the target.
43' Finally, Antonio is found with a chance to break forward. However, Phillips tracks him every step of the way and does brilliantly to stall the striker and allow his team to recover. Antonio offloads the ball before being found moments later at the back post where he gets a header on target.
41' Dawson does well to dispossess Origi and find Benrahma further up the field. Milner then attempts to recover possession for Liverpool but used an arm and is rightly penalised.
39' Coufal's delivery is excellent but so is the defensive header by Phillips who has had a good game so far.
38' Thiago trips Benrahma and concedes a free-kick in a dangerous position for the set-piece specialists.
37' A brilliant pass from Thiago is wasted by Shaqiri whose throughball is too close to Cresswell who mops up easily.
36' Again, Benrahma looks to find Antonio ahead as the Liverpool backline looks stretched. The Algerian is under a little pressure though, and overhits the pass.
35' Antonio wins a corner when his cross is blocked by Henderson. Benrahma and Bowen work it short before the latter seems to swing a teasing delivery in. However, none of the West Ham players react to it and Alisson gathers comfortably.
33' Salah has it in a promising area but looks back to Thiago instead of forward. The West Ham defence recover their shape and eventually win a free-kick.
32' Milner almost gets on the end of Thiago's throughball, but again Ogbonna is on hand to ensure the danger is averted.
31' Ogbonna is furious with Jon Moss as the referee penalises the Italian for a foul on Salah.
29' Fornals does well to thwart Alexander-Arnold on the right flank as the Englishman looked to pick out a cross.
27' It's Liverpool's turn to create a goal-scoring chance. Henderson's long ball is picked up well by Salah before it falls kindly for Shaqiri to strike. The Swiss midfielder's effort is on target but well blocked and out for a corner.
24' CHANCE! The home side have the best chance of the game. Cresswell and Fornals link up really well on the left before the former picks out Benrahma in space in the box. The Algerian takes a poor first touch before he and Antonio get in the way of each other, eventually allowing Liverpool to scramble the ball to safety.
23' Robertson lays it back for Thiago and the Spaniard picks out Salah with a good cross. However, the forward can't generate enough power, nor can he direct his header on target.
22' Alexander-Arnold does well to create space on the right and float a textbook delivery into the box. Origi is once again the target, and once again Ogbonna is alert to the danger and gets there first.
21' The hosts enjoy their longest spell of possession. Bowen receives the ball with space in front of him but opts instead to turn to Coufal in defence, allowing Liverpool to organise their defensive effort.
19' Benrahma picks a loose ball up and immediately sets his sights on playing Antonio through. The Englishman isn't on the same wavelength though, and the chance is gone.
17' A Liverpool free-kick is well defended by Rice. West Ham then look to break before Thiago appears to commit a cynical foul and bring it to a halt. The Spaniard got away with one there.
16' Thiago makes space on the right and tries to pick out Origi in the box. It looks on the money but Ogbonna just gets there first.
15' Dawson does well to partially clear after Robertson's first-time cross. They come again and the ball is with Origi in the box once more but the visitors are crowded out.
13' Origi wins Liverpool a corner after the best move of the game. It started on the right with Alexander-Arnold and Salah before play switched to the other side.
12' West Ham play it around the back for a spell but struggle to advance through a well-structured Liverpool side.
10' A superb pass from Alexander-Arnold finds Robertson in space on the left but the Scotsman's touch is uncharacteristically poor, allowing the home side to reclaim possession from a throw-in.
8' SHOT! Wijnaldum picks up the loose ball, takes a touch and unleashes a shot on Fabianski's goal. It's well struck but sails over the bar.
7' Liverpool are enjoying the majority of possession in these opening stages but that was to be expected. The hosts look organised and comfortable.
5' SHOT! Shaqiri plays in Origi but it's a tight angle for the Belgian striker. However, he takes it on but can't find the target, instead blasting it out for a goal-kick.
4' Benrahma and Bowen link up well for West Ham before the latter tries to find Antonio who is lurking in the area. It's well defended by the visitors who gather possession.
2' Robertson makes a trademark charge up the left channel, winning the first corner of the game off Bowen.
1' Seconds in, Wijnaldum is down after an aerial clash with Soucek. The Dutchman is fine to continue, though.
1' Referee Jonathan Moss blows his whistle and West Ham get this Premier League clash underway!
The players are emerging from the tunnel. Kick-off is moments away!
Hammers fans will be hoping Antonio can keep up his impressive scoring record against Liverpool today. The Englishman has four goals in six appearances with all four coming while Klopp has been in charge.
Three changes for Liverpool as their defensive injury crisis deepens. Joel Matip was the latest casualty after picking up ankle ligament damage against Spurs last time out. Phillips starts in place of the German to make it the 12th different centre-back partnership in 21 games. The only other changes come in the front three as Firmino drops to the bench and Sadio Mane is out with a slight knock, so joining Salah up top are Shaqiri and Origi.
Moyes has named a completely unchanged matchday squad from their last game against Crystal Palace. That means new loan signing Jesse Lingard won’t be making his first Hammers appearance today.
LIVERPOOL SUBS: Curtis Jones, Roberto Firmino, Adrian, Takumi Minamino, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Rhys Williams, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Caoimhin Kelleher, Neco Williams.
LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Nathaniel Phillips, Jordan Henderson, Andrew Robertson; Thiago, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner; Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi, Mohamed Salah.
WEST HAM SUBS: Ben Johnson, David Martin, Mark Noble, Manuel Lanzini, Ademipo Odubeko, Fabian Balbuena, Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks.
WEST HAM (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Creswell; Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice; Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals; Michail Antonio.
Liverpool registered a much-needed victory against Tottenham last time out, their first in the league since dishing out a 7-0 thrashing to Crystal Palace before Christmas. The three points took Jurgen Klopp’s team back into the top four but their previous inconsistent spell means they still sit seven points adrift of Manchester City.
The Hammers come into this contest on a run of four successive Premier League wins and six in all competitions, so moral will be high. Another triumph today would see them record seven straight victories for just the third time in the club’s history. David Moyes’ side sit just one place and two points behind Liverpool in fifth but haven’t beaten the Reds in their last nine encounters.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League meeting between West Ham and Liverpool from the London Stadium.
