West Ham's third straight win sees them leapfrog Watford into 10th place to secure a top-half finish. Meanwhile, this is not how Watford would have hoped to prepare for their Wembley date, with the FA Cup Final encounter with Premier League champions Manchester City on the horizon.
West Ham secure a resounding victory at Vicarage Road on the final day of the season. The hosts had started brightly, but Noble handed Pellegrini’s side the lead following a driving midfield run and Lanzini then made it two with a close-range header. Deulofeu gave Watford a lifeline seconds after the interval, but the hosts lost the momentum they had gathered when Holebas was dismissed for a foul on Antonio. The visitors then extended their advantage through Arnautovic's rebounded finish, before Noble's penalty finished Watford off.

West Ham enter the break firmly on top after taking both of their major first-half chances. Watford had started promisingly with Deulofeu looking particularly menacing in the early stages, but Noble then put the visitors in front following a driving run from midfield. Pellegrini’s side then found it easier to settle into the game, and doubled their advantage when Lanzini headed home a rebound from Antonio’s long-range effort. Watford almost pulled one back on the brink of half-time, but Fabianski made a last-ditch save from Deeney's effort.
