Both sides earn a share of the spoils as they cannot produce a moment of quality in the second half to break the stalemate. Viktoria Plzen will be pleased with the point as Marek Bakos strike cancelled out Diego Perotti's early penalty, meaning the two teams are off the mark in the competition in Group E.

SAVE! Alisson makes a fine save in the dying seconds to earn his side a point as he turns Petrzela's powerful strike from distance over the bar. It looked as though it was heading over anyway, but the keeper had to make sure.
Totti almost picks out the run of Dzeko over the top, but the ball skips off the surface and into the hands of Bolek, much to the frustration of the forward.
Roma are piling men forward in the dying stages here. The Italian outfit are not settling for just a point.
PENALTY SHOUT! Horava collects a pass and drives into the box. He goes down in a tumble after contact and demands a penalty, but replays show that he clipped his own legs, which forced him to the turf.

Roma are doing their best to bring Dzeko into the game, but this time Peres overhits his cross to the back post, although Mateju sends it behind for a corner.
Perotti turns in the final third and whips a cross from the left into the box, looking for the head of Dzeko. The striker fails to make contact and the two stare down each other over the missed opportunity.

Naiggolan slides a pinpoint pass into the feet to Florenzi, who strikes first time at goal, but flicks his strike narrowly over the crossbar. Not a terrible effort from the Italy international.
CHANCE! Petrzela finally produces a moment of quality with a sublime cross from the right, but Bakos fails to make clean contact with his header and misses the target. The striker caught the ball with his hand, so it wouldn't have counted away had he hit the back of the net.

Plzen build from the right, but Kace tries an ambitious strike from 30 yards with a right-footed effort. However, Alisson watches the ball carefully into his hands.
Possession has been split fairly evenly in the second half, but neither team have looked threatening in the final third, with both sides lacking quality with their final ball.
Iturbe sends the ball into the box and a flick from Perotti almost finds Manolas to strike, but Plzen get enough bodies around the ball to ensure that the defender cannot shoot.
Bolek gets himself in a tangle on the edge of his own box as he attempts to clear Perotti's lofted pass for Dzeko. The keeper almost loses possession, but manages to send the ball behind for a corner.
Roma knock the ball patiently around the final third before Peres cuts inside on his left foot and strikes at goal. However, his effort is tame and saved with ease by Bolek.

Zeman runs at Peres down the left flank and weaves his way past the right-back before sending an inviting cross to the back post. Kopic tries to get on the end of his delivery, only for Juan Jesus to clear ahead of him.
SAVE! Dzeko latches on El Shaawary's pass over the top and tries to round Bolek, but the keeper gets a hand to the ball to poke it away from the forward. El Shaawary pounces on the rebound, although the home side have men back to block his strike.
Duris gets the better of Fazio on the right flank and he attempts to find Bakos in the area, but Manolas cuts out the cross sending the ball behind for a goal-kick.
Limbersky loses control of the ball in a dangerous position as Iturbe attempts to pounce, but Hubnik is on hand to help out his team-mate to clear the danger.

CHANCES! Roma send two dangerous balls into the box, with the first just missing the head of Fazio after Perotti had done well on the left. Iturbe sent the ball back immediatelt into the six-yard box and Hubnik's clearing header almost fell for Dzeko, but he failed to connect.

It's all square at the break in this Europa League group stage contest. Roma enjoyed the perfect start to the game when Diego Perotti handed them the lead from the penalty spot with the coolest of finishes. However, their lead would last only seven minutes as Marek Bakos brought Plzen level, leaving the game delicately balanced at the interval.
HALF-TIME: VIKTORIA PLZEN 1-1 ROMA
The referee brings the first half to an end.
Perotti drives down the left flank and gets to the byline, beating the challenge of Mateju. He powers the ball across the face of goal, but Hubnik has his positioning spot on to divert the cross away from danger.
Hubnik has to be alert at the back as Perotti's cross takes a deflection and almost reaches Iturbe, but the defender steers the ball away from danger. Peres tries to send the ball back into the middle, but the Viktoria skipper is there once again to clear.
The home side waste a decent attacking platform in the final third as Bakos backs into Manolas and the forward is penalised by the referee, allowing the Italian outfit to clear the danger.
Gerson sends a incisive pass through the Plzen midfield and Perotti looks to be a in decent position to collect inside the area. However, his first touch is poor, allowing the ball to escape his control, spurning the opening.
Iturbe latches on to a clever lofted pass in behind the Plzen defence and takes a touch to break into the box. The striker only has Bolek to beat, but he scuffs his strike and Hejda sweeps up possession.
Confusion at the back for Roma as Limbersky sends a cross into the box. Alisson comes off his line in an attempt to claim it but fails to gather almost allowing Duris to shoot, but the visitors manage to scramble the danger clear.
CLOSE!  El Shaarawy keeps the attack alive and collects a pass down the left flank before firing the ball across the face of goal. Gerson awaits in the middle, but Mateju does just enough to send it over his crossbar.
OFF THE POST! Roma come within inches of regaining the lead as El Shaarawy cuts open the Viktoria defence with a surging run and slides his pass to Nainggolan. The midfielder shoots with power, only to see his effort crash off the post and bounce clear.
A rare foray forward for Roma ends in disappointment as El Shaarawy gets caught offside attempting to latch on to Nainggolan's throughball. They've been poor in the final third since opening the scoring through Perotti.
Bakos latches on to a long ball over the top from Bolek and cuts inside from the left flank. The striker has support, but opts to go for goal himself, striking his effort with power to the bottom corner. However, Alisson watches the ball all the way into his hands.
Zeman and Bakos combine on the edge of the box to present a decent opportunity for the hosts. The striker lays the ball into the feet of Mateju, but his nightmare game continues as his pass for Kopic goes straight out of play for a throw-in.
Viktoria have been dominant since going behind in the fourth minute. Bakos' equaliser has given them a great deal of confidence in the final third, and they have the visitors well and truly on the back foot.
SAVE! Alisson makes a good save to deny Duris at the near post as he gets down quickly to palm his header away. The delivery from Zeman was better this time around and the striker pounced, only to be denied by the Brazilian.

Both teams have enjoyed strong starts to their respective league campaigns, with Viktoria currently third in the Czech Liga after taking 13 points from their opening six matches. Meanwhile, Roma are third in Serie A, having recorded two victories and a draw in their three matches thus far.
Roma were also dumped out of the Champions League before the group stage, losing on aggregate to Porto, suffering a heavy 3-0 defeat to the Portuguese club at the Stadio Olimpico. They reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in 2015, but will be eyeing a better performance this time around.
Viktoria Plzen missed out on a place in the Champions League after being defeated by Ludogorets in their playoff encounter, forcing the Czech outfit to compete in the Europa League this term. They will face no easy task in this tournament, having being placed alongside Roma, Austria Wien and Astra Giurgiu in Group E.
