World Cup
Intercontinental Play-off

That's all for now! Thank you for following our LIVE coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers - hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, see you soon!
Christian Pulisic's second-half brace was enough for the Stars and Stripes to claim the three points and continue their unbeaten start under Bruce Arena. Trinidad gave a good account of themselves, but just did not have enough to stop their losing run in the States.
There goes the final whistle - job done for the USA!!!
We are going to have three minutes of stoppage time at the end of this game.
The clock is ticking down towards three crucial points that will propel the U.S. into the top three at the halfway mark of the Hex. The Stars and Stripes will be full of confidence ahead of that clash with Mexico on Sunday after this.
A. Bedoya
Yellow Card
Bedoya is the second sub to have his name taken here.
OFF THE POST! Wood is denied an immediate impact by the woodwork with what would have provided the icing on the cake for USA.
B. Wood
J. Altidore
Meanwhile, Bobby Wood comes on for the States in place of Altidore.
J. Boatswain
K. Jones
Another change from Trinidad sees Kenwyne Jones make way for Jamille Boatswain.
STAT ATTACK! In fact, Paul was on the field for just 16 seconds before picking up that booking! Lawrence will have wanted to make an impact, but not quite that way!
The pace of the Americans' play has certainly slowed down over the past few minutes and Trinidad are looking to capitalise on that. However, the visitors have been unable to find a way past Howard as of yet.
L. Paul
Yellow Card
Paul's first action is to pick up a yellow card for a rash challenge outside the area.
L. Paul
K. Hyland
Trinidad also make a second change as Hyland makes way for Leston Paul.
A. Bedoya
F. Johnson
USA make a second change with Johnson going off to be replaced by Alejandro Bedoya.
Trinidad are applying some pressure as they look to force a way back into this contest. They have seen a couple of corners dealt with by the Americans, but need to turn this pressure into a goal.
We are into the final 20 minutes at Dick's Sporting Goods Park with USA still 2-0 to the good thanks to that double by Christian Pulisic. As it stands, they will move into the top three at the halfway stage of the Hex.
S. Winchester
J. Jones
Trinidad make their first substitution with Joevin Jones going off to be replaced by Shane Winchester.
GOOD CLEARANCE! The Stoke City defender atones for that error by positioning himself well to clear Joevin Jones' dangerous ball into the six-yard box.
Cameron needs to be very, very careful. He catches Lewis late but, yet again, the referee gives him the benefit of the doubt. One more mistimed tackle will surely result in a yellow card that would rule him out of the Mexico game.
J. Altidore
Altidore showed great awareness to pick out Pulisic with a delicious through ball.
C. Pulisic
PULISIC MAKES IT TWO!!! What a player he really is! The 18-year-old is released in behind the defence after a great ball by Altidore, and calmly drills past Williams from a tight angle to double his country's lead. That is now four goals in as many appearances for the States!
K. Acosta
C. Dempsey
There will be no record for Dempsey today, as he is given a breather by Arena and replaced by Kellyn Acosta. Dempsey is clearly annoyed at being substituted, but his coach clearly has Sunday in mind.
We have a break in play here as goalkeeper Williams stays down following an accidental collision with Pulisic. He had just used his height to good effect to deny Altidore, who had got in behind the Trinidad defence.
Pulisic is involved again as he bursts into the box and tries his luck from a tight angle. The effort goes into the side-netting but it was not too far away by any means.
OFFSIDE! Trinidad respond immediately with Lewis peeling away from Yedlin to meet a cross and steer a volley past Howard. However, he just started his run too early and the flag is raised on the far side.
The 18-year-old continues to impress by netting his sixth international goal already in 15 caps. It was a great run from midfield to arrive late and apply the finishing touches to a great move.
C. Pulisic
GOAL FOR THE USA!!! PULISIC GIVES THEM THE LEAD! A patient build-up from the States sees Nagbe take on a couple of defenders before playing a one-two with Dempsey and cutting the ball back to Yedlin. The Newcastle right-back fizzes it into the six-yard box, where Pulisic is sliding in to apply the finishing touch and break the deadlock.
D. Yedlin
Yedlin showed great awareness to pick out the Dortmund midfielder with a precise ball into the six-yard box.
NOT FAR AWAY! At the other end, a dangerous ball from the right is whipped right across the face of the American six-yard box. Lewis is arriving at the far post, but is just unable to stretch far enough to get the vital touch.
Bradley is pulling the strings in the heart of the American field. The skipper is dictating the pace of the play whenever he gets the ball and everything appears to be going through him. This is the case as he looks to pick out Nagbe with a long pass downfield, but the Portland man is unable to control on this occasion.
The history books are certainly pointing towards an American win here. After all, they have won both of their previous matches on this ground and never lost to Trinidad in their homeland - winning on each occasion.
KICK-OFF! Mr Moncada blows his whistle and Trinidad get the ball rolling once more.
The teams are back out on the field and the second half is imminent...
It is fair to say that USA created more opportunities and looked the more threatening of the two nations during that first half. However, Trinidad also had dangerous spells of their own and this match is very finely poised ahead of the restart.
What a let-off for the USA! And that is the last action as Oscar Moncada blows for half-time.
CHANCE! Trinidad apply the pressure at the end of the half with Edwards getting forward and delivering from the right flank. Molino arrives at the far post and gets to the ball ahead of Yedlin, but can only direct it over the crossbar.
Still going strong at the age of 38, Howard is winning his 115th cap for the USA today. What a presence he has been between the sticks for the Stars and Stripes through the years, and that was another good stop in front of his home fans.
GOOD SAVE! Trinidad relieve some of the pressure by embarking on another venture forward down the right flank. The ball is teed up for Hyland to hit a low effort that goes through the bodies on the edge of the area, and Howard is forced to get down and push it away before the flag is raised for offside against Molino.
VITAL DEFLECTION! Trinidad are fighting the tide here! A deep ball into the box is nodded down by Johnson and into the path of Pulisic, but the Borussia Dortmund midfielder's volley deflects wide of the target off the unwitting Cyrus. He may not have known much about it, but that was a vital touch by the centre-half.
CHANCE! Altidore is such a great target to have in the box and he is picked out again by his teammates. However, the Toronto FC forward can only head over the bar from less than 12 yards out.
WONDERFUL DOUBLE SAVE! Jan-Michael Williams dives across to his right to beat away Villafana's vicious effort from distance. He then needs to regain his position quickly and adjust before showing great reflexes to deny Altidore's header from the former's cross.
OFF THE BAR! Kenwyne Jones is a coat of paint away from opening the scoring in Denver! The captain shows good movement to lose Brooks before beating Howard to a high ball into the box. However, his header crashes against the crossbar with the U.S. stopper beaten. Those are the warning signs for America...
Cameron clatters Jones just inside the American half and is fortunate to escape without a yellow card there. The Stoke City defender has to tread carefully as a booking would rule him out of the crunch clash with Mexico on Sunday.
The match really has burst into life over the past few minutes with chances at both ends. Although, you feel that Trinidad need to capitalise while they still have a foothold in the contest to have any chance of claiming a first-ever win in the States.
NOT FAR AWAY! Trinidad enjoy a rare spell of dominance inside the American half. An initial attack comes to nothing after Joevin Jones overhits his cross but, not long after, Hyland lets fly from distance with a vicious left-footed effort that fizzes just wide of the post with Howard struggling.
CLOSE! Cameron cuts out an attempted through ball and finds Altidore who, in turn, releases Pulisic inside the Trinidad half. The teenager uses his pace as he sprints into the area, before shooting narrowly over from a tight angle.
GOOD SAVE! The visitors' reprieve does not last for long as Williams has to get down to push Brooks' shot away. The keeper is called upon again shortly afterwards to get strong hands on Altidore's fierce effort from the edge of the area.
USA got in behind their opponents defence after Nagbe is picked out. The Portland Timbers midfielder looks to pull the ball back for Pulisic but Trinidad read the danger and clear.
The Americans are playing with good intensity as we hit the midway point in the first half. They are pressing high and forcing errors from Trinidad, which will be impressing Arena on the touchline.
STAT ATTACK! Of course, it could be today that Dempsey equals the all-time scoring record for his country by joining Landon Donovan on 57 international goals. He has already gone close and is looking pumped and purposeful here.
CLOSE! The Americans have got their tails up at the moment! A neat move involving Dempsey and Nagbe releases Yedlin down the right flank. The Newcastle United defender whips in a dangerous cross which Altidore looks to flick home, but does not connect and the visitors clear.
OOOOOOOHHH! SO CLOSE! Dempsey receives the ball in space on the edge of the box and shifts it onto his left foot before letting fly with a brilliant effort that just skims the top of the crossbar with Williams beaten!
Other than a low cross that Howard came to meet at his near post, the U.S. have looked very much in control so far. The Stars and Stripes are playing at a nice pace and always eager to get the ball rolling whenever they win it back.
REMEMBER HIM?! There is a familiar face alongside Lawrence on the Trinidad bench. Former England defender Sol Campbell, who represented the Three Lions at three World Cups, is part of the backroom team these days and potentially building towards a post-professional career in coaching.
Pulisic stands over the ball but his delivery is a disappointing one in the end, and Trinidad can breathe again as they deal with the danger.
Dempsey gets on the ball in a dangerous area outside the box. He looks to thread it through, but Cyrus reads the situation well to intercept. However, a rash challenge sees the Americans awarded a free-kick around 25 yards from goal and this is a decent opportunity...
Bradley does have experience of scoring against Trinidad in the past - doing so in a 3-0 victory over the Soca Warriors in September 2008.
A lively start by the hosts with Nagbe teasing Joevin Jones in the area before pulling the ball back for Bradley to whip in. However, the skipper gets too much on his delivery and it goes behind for a goal-kick.
HERE WE GO! The Honduran referee blows his whistle and, playing in an all-red strip, USA get the match underway!
HERE THEY ARE! The teams are out, the national anthems have been observed and kick-off is just moments away here at Dick's Sporting Goods Park...
TRINIDAD SUBS: Phillip, Winchester, Paul, A. Jones, Arcia, Abu Bakr, Boucaud, David, Gonzales, Hector, Boatswain, Foncette.
TRINIDAD (4-2-3-1): J.M. Williams; Edwards, Cyrus, Bateau, J. Jones; Hyland, Lewis; Molino, M. Williams, George; K. Jones (c).
Dennis Lawrence is looking to be the man to deliver Trinidad's first-ever victory over the Americans in their own backyard. He has opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation with Carlos Edwards earning his 95th cap in defence, while Khaleem Hyland and Nathan Lewis will offer protection to the back four. Further up, Minnesota United's Kevin Molino will be looking to pull the strings in the attacking trio behind lone striker and captain Kenwyne Jones, who makes his 90th international appearance today.
USA SUBS: Guzan, Beasley, Wood, McCarty, Morris, Acosta, Arriola, Gonzalez, Zusi, Bedoya, Ream, Rimando.
USA (4-1-3-2): Howard; Yedlin, Cameron, Brooks, Villafana; Bradley (c); Nagbe, Pulisic, Johnson; Dempsey, Altidore.
USA are unbeaten in five matches since Bruce Arena returned for a second spell following the departure of Jurgen Klinsmann. He has made just a single alteration the the team that started the 1-1 draw with Venezuela earlier in the week, with Jozy Altidore returning ahead of Bobby Wood to partner Clint Dempsey up front. Michael Bradley skippers the side and will provide protection to the back four, while anchoring the midfield trio of Fabian Johnson, Christian Pulisic and Darlington Nagbe.
There is everything to play for at the home of the Colorado Rapids in the MLS. With just a point separating the two nations placed fourth and sixth in the Hexagonal table respectively, the winners here will climb into the top three at the halfway stage.
