This victory moves Tottenham up to sixth in the table, with just two games remaining and they face Aston Villa next time out. Meanwhile Wolves remain 12th and they travel to Everton in midweek.
Tottenham get back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Wolves, thanks to goals from Kane and Hojbjerg. They led 1-0 at the break, after Kane broke the deadlock just before the half-time whistle and Tottenham’s dominance continued in the second period. Reguilon forced Patricio into a good save, before Kane and Alli hit the post, but it was Hojbjerg who doubled their lead, after Bale’s shot was saved by Patricio, but Hojbjerg was there first to fire it into the back of the net.
90' + 2' Time is running out for Wolves to get a late consolation goal and it looks like Spurs will comfortably see the game out now, with less than a minute left to play.
90' There will be a minimum of three minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
M. Sissoko
G. Bale
89' Final Spurs change now, with Bale replaced by Sissoko.
88' Good effort! Kane does well to work some space on the edge of the penalty area and he fires a low strike towards goal, but it is too close to Patricio, who makes a good save.
J. Tanganga
Yellow Card
86' The first yellow card of the game is shown to Tanganga, after his late challenge on Dendoncker.
84' It looks like Tottenham are just trying to see the game out now, they are keeping it well in the middle of the pitch, but aren't pushing forward in search of a third goal.
T. Corbeanu
Fábio Silva
82' Wolves have also made a substitution, with Corbeanu coming on to make his Wolves debut and he replaces Silva.
T. Ndombélé
D. Alli
82' Tottenham make their second change of the game, with Alli replaced by Ndombele.
80' There's just 10 minutes, plus any additional time to be added on left to play here and it is pretty comfortable for Spurs at the moment. Can they see the game out and clinch all three points?
78' Blocked! Traore does well again down the right wing, before pulling it back to Moutinho on the edge of the box, who sees his shot well blocked by Tanganga.
77' On what is his 145th appearance in the Premier League, Hojbjerg assisted and scored for the first time in a PL game.
75' Stoppage in play here as Moutinho is down with an injury, after Tanganga clatters into the back of him and the Wolves medical team are on the pitch. However, the midfielder should be fine to continue.
Rúben Neves
M. Gibbs-White
73' Another Wolves change, with Gibbs-White heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Neves.
71' Spurs look pretty comfortable and they should now be able to see the game out with their 2-0 lead, but they just need to be careful not to drop too deep and invite Wolves onto them.
H. Winks
G. Lo Celso
69' Tottenham make their first substitution now, with Lo Celso coming off and he has been replaced by Winks.
68' Wolves have increased the tempo of their game since going 2-0 down and the change, they look much better in front of goal and are forcing Spurs back.
66' Decent effort! Traore has been Wolves' biggest threat today and he cuts inside from the right now, working some space in the box and he fires an effort towards the bottom right corner, but he drags it wide.
64' CHANCE! Gibbs-White does brilliantly down the right wing, getting behind Dier and he then pulls the ball back to Silva, who should at least be hitting the target, but he drags his effort wide of the Spurs goal. That was a really good opportunity to pull one back.
Willian José
63' Here comes the first Wolves change of the game, with Ferreira the man coming off and he has been replaced by Willian Jose.
P. Højbjerg
62' GOOOAAALLL! Hojbjerg doubles Tottenham’s lead, it’s 2-0! Hoever loses a battle for the ball with Reguilon near the corner flag and the left-back slides it into the path of Son, who turns and passes to Bale on the edge of the box. The Welshman sees his shot saved by Patricio, but the keeper doesn’t push the ball out wide enough and Hojbjerg races in and fires it into the back of the net from close range.
60' It looks like Wolves are getting ready to make their first change of the game, they have struggled to get up the pitch in the second half, with Tottenham dominating.
58' Kane opened the scoring for the 54th time in the PL today - his goal against Wolves was the 15th team out of 19 teams that he has scored against in the PL this season.
56' Wolves are getting put under a lot of pressure at the moment, they are penned back inside their own penalty area, struggling to get out and Spurs will want to double their lead sooner rather than later.
54' OFF THE POST TWICE! How are Spurs not 2-0 up? The hosts counter forward quickly through Alli, who sprints forward and lays it through to Kane, who fires it towards the bottom left corner, but Patricio gets down quickly and tips it onto the post. The rebound then falls straight to Alli, who should score, but his effort also strikes the post! So unlucky for Spurs.
52' SAVE! Really good build-up by Spurs, they keep it nicely in the final third, Son flicks it to Lo Celso, who plays it out to Reguilon on the overlap, who powers a shot towards goal. However, Patricio gets up and tips it over the bar.
50' CHANCE! Saiss gets in between Kane and Alderweireld as a deep cross is whipped into the box and the centre-back only has Lloris to beat, but he doesn't get enough power on his header and Lloris comfortably gathers. He should be doing much better there.
49' Wolves have a free-kick in a decent position, they can whip the ball into the penalty area from the right wing, after Alli dives into the back of Moutinho.
47' Wild effort! The ball falls to Hojbjerg following a set piece, but the midfielders effort flies high over the crossbar, nowhere near the Wolves goal.
46' The second half is under way!
The hosts have been on top for the most part today and deserve their lead, with Wolves sitting deep and they will need to improve a lot in the second half if they are to get back into the game.
Tottenham lead at the break, after Kane's 22nd Premier League goal of the season on the stroke of half-time. The striker went close early on, striking the post and was then denied by Coady, who cleared his header off the line, but the Wolves defence couldn't stop him minutes later, when he snuck in behind and fired it past Patricio. Silva has gone close on a couple of occasions for Wolves, after quick counters through Traore, but he is yet to really test Lloris in goal.
P. Højbjerg
45' Hojbjerg spotted the run of Kane in behind the Wolves defence and played a perfectly timed pass through to the striker, who did the rest with a composed finish.
H. Kane
45' GOOOAAALLL! Kane fires Tottenham into the lead just before the break, it's 1-0! The striker sneaks in behind the Wolves defence, after a through ball by Hojbjerg and Kane just manages to stay onside and he then takes his time, skipping past the challenge from Coady and then firing the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.
43' OFF THE LINE! A deep corner is whipped into the box and Kane gets on the edge of it, under pressure from Patricio, who feels that he is fouled, but Kane heads it towards the line. However, Coady reads it well and makes a brilliant block. They don't clear the danger and Lo Celso delivers a cross from the right towards the near post, but Coady once again gets back to clear it.
42' Wolves have won three of their last five Premier League matches (D1 L1), as many as they managed in their previous 17 such games (W3 D6 L8).
40' There isn’t long left to play before the end of the first half, can either side break the deadlock before the half-time whistle?
38' CHANCE! Kane flicks a header onto Son, who sprints into the box and fires an effort towards goal from a tight angle, which Patricio has to deal with and the keeper makes an excellent save. However, the rebound bounces dangerously around the six-yard box, before Patricio pounces on it.
37' Coady has done well for Wolves today, he will want to impress the England manager Gareth Southgate who is in the stands watching the game, with the Euros coming up this summer.
35' There just isn't enough attacking intent by Spurs at the moment, they seem content to just keep it in the middle of the park and aren't getting many opportunities in the final third. Patricio hasn't been tested enough so far.
33' Saiss is lucky to get away with just a warning, after Alli brilliantly flicks the ball past him, with the centre-back clipping his legs and bringing him down. That could have quite easily have been a booking.
31' We’re past the half an hour mark now and it remains goalless between Tottenham and Wolves, with the home side going the closest to scoring so far, but Wolves look dangerous themselves on the break.
29' Not too far away! Another superb run from deep by Traore, he skips past a couple of Tottenham defenders, before laying it out to Silva to his right, but the striker drags his shot wide of the far post. He should have been testing Lloris at least there.
27' Spurs haven’t lost any of their last 19 home Premier League matches against teams starting the day in the bottom half of the league (W15 D4) since losing 1-0 to Newcastle United back in August 2019.
25' Bale does well to cut onto his left foot and tries to work the space for a shot at goal, but two Wolves defenders stick with him and made a good block.
23' Decent chance! Bale chips a ball over the top of the Wolves defence for Kane to run onto, but the striker can't quite wrap his foot around it and sends his effort wide from a tight angle.
21' Free-kick to Tottenham in a very good shooting position now, around 25 yards out after Saiss dives into the back of Lo Celso and brings him down. Kane and Bale are standing over it and it is Bale who fires it towards goal. However, it is too close to Patricio and the keeper makes a good save.
19' Blocked! Kane fails to control a pass on the edge of the box, so instead it falls Lo Celso, who fires a first-time effort towards goal, but it is well blocked by Saiss and flies high over the crossbar.
18' It looks like Wolves are going to try and break forward on the counter when they do win the ball back, as they are struggling to keep possession themselves. Traore is linking up well with Silva so far, so that is one partnership to keep an eye on.
16' Apart from his earlier chance, Kane hasn't been involved much so far, with the Wolves defence doing a good job of keeping him, Son and Bale off the ball.
14' It's all Tottenham at the moment, but there isn't much pace to the game, it is very slow and the visitors look pretty happy to just sit back and soak up the pressure.
12' Tottenham have hit the woodwork for the 21st time this season with Kane's effort - joint-first and level with West Ham United in the Premier League so far this season
10' You would expect Tottenham to really go for it today, especially with the front three in Bale, Son and Kane that Mason has selected to start. Kane has already gone very close to opening the scoring.
8' Blocked! Traore races forward on the counter-attack, with the Spurs defence backing off him and the winger lays it out wide to Silva, who aims for the bottom left corner of the net, but Dier gets across and makes the block.
7' Decent effort! Silva managed to sneak in behind Dier and fire a low shot at goal from a tight angle, but it is comfortable for Lloris, who makes the save.
5' OFF THE POST! Wolves lose possession on the edge of their own penalty area and Hojbjerg plays it through to Kane, who takes a touch and then drills a shot towards the bottom left corner of the net. It has Patricio beaten, but it cannons off the post and Wolves just about clear the danger.
3' Tottenham with the early possession here, they are keeping it well in their own half, but Wolves are pressing high to stop them from getting into the final third.
1' We're under way!
