Tottenham end 118 years at White Hart Lane with a victory. Goals from Victor Wanyama and Harry Kane guided them to the win, with Wayne Rooney netting the final goal at the stadium, but it was not enough for the Red Devils today.
Spurs successfully defend the final United attack and Alli takes the ball into the corner before the referee ends the contest.

N'Koudou collects a low pass and drives a low ball across the face of goal, but Jones is there to clear the danger with Kane on his heels.

GOALLLLL!!!! UNITED ARE BACK IN THE GAME! Rooney finds the net from close range following excellent work from Martial down the left. The Frenchman beat Trippier all ends up before sliding a low ball across the face of goal that the United skipper poked home with the aid of a deflection off Vertonghen.
Spurs have just lost the rhythm to their play over the last few minutes as United have enjoyed a period with the ball. Martial is the closest the Red Devils have come to finding a way to goal, with more needed to support him.
United have appeared to have weathered the Tottenham storm after Kane's goal and offering some resistance at last. However, they need a goal within the next 10 minutes to force their way back into the contest.
CHANCE! Martial runs at the Spurs defence before unleashing a powerful curling strike with his right foot. Lloris dives full stretch to his left, but he can only watches as the ball flies inches past his post. That was close for the visitors.
Rooney almost collects and turns in the box, but Vertonghen is there to steer the ball away from him at the last second.

WIDE! Lingard and Martial combine on the edge of the box to open up a fraction of space for the former to shoot, but he drills his effort wide of the post.
Blind sends a long ball forward for Rooney to chase, but he can only guide a tame back header into the clutches of Lloris. The United skipper has a word with the referee as well as he claimed his shirt was being tugged.
Son weaves his way into the final third and he goes for the strike from a tight angle, only to see his effort deflected behind for a corner.
WIDE! Spurs hit United on the break and Kane takes possession before firing at goal on his left foot. However, his strike does not have enough bend on it to find the bottom corner.
SHOT! Son collects 25 yards from goal and space opens up from him to shoot with his left foot. He gets power behind the strike, but it's straight at De Gea, who does well to hold the ball.
White Hart Lane is rocking now, with the home fans in great voice now that their side have complete control of the match.

Eriksen puts in a great cross to allow Kane to double Tottenham's advantage.

GOALLLL!!!! KANE GETS HIS GOAL! The local lad signs off at White Hart Lane with a goal as he does brilliantly to get ahead of Smalling to divert Eriksen's dangerous cross beyond De Gea from close range. It's an instinctive touch from Kane, who puts his side on the path to victory.
Alli goes on the run down the left flank and he gets brought down by Bailly, handing Spurs a free-kick in a dangerous position.

United have barely offered a threat in the final third, with their best chance coming through the boot of Anthony Martial who curled an effort past the post.
Spurs have been on the front foot throughout the contest and have been thwarted in their attempts to extend their lead by David de Gea, who has denied Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli with smart stops.
Tottenham are half way there to sending off White Hart Lane with a victory as Victor Wanyama's header has given them a half-time lead against Manchester United.

CLOSE! United break on the counter and Mata slides a pass to Bailly, but the defender passes it back to the Spaniard rather than shooting, allowing Alderweireld to clear the danger.
CHANCE! Kane turns inside the box and from a tight angle he fires towards the near post, but once again De Gea denies Spurs with a smart low save.

Rooney brings down Kane in his attempt to stop the forward's progress in the United half. He has to be very careful from this point onwards, having already been booked.
Wanyama loses possession and Martial breaks upfield with Vertonghen for company. The Frenchman tries to break away from the defender, but the Tottenham man holds up to the challenge and wins the battle as the United forward loses possession.
The Red Devils are starting to cut off the supply to Kane up front with strong pressure on the striker. Spurs' threat has been diminished slightly as we approach the end of the half.
The tempo of the game has dropped slightly over the last few minutes, with United attempting to break Spurs' control on proceedings.

Rooney goes into the book for a foul on Eriksen.
United are struggling to break out of their own half at the moment. They need an out ball to alleviate the pressure on their backline.
Spurs are controlling proceedings here, but still only the one-goal advantage which will concern Pochettino. The Argentine would love a second before the break.
SAVE! Alli surges down the right inside channel and goes for the blast towards the top corner, but De Gea makes a great save to turn the ball over the bar. The Spaniard is keeping the visitors in the game.
Spurs win a free-kick of their own on the edge of the box as Kane is caught by Mata, but Eriksen fails to produce from the set-piece, allowing United to clear.
Wanyama catches Bailly in the back of the leg with a nasty challenge. Unnecessary from the Spurs man and it hands United a free-kick on the half-way line.
SAVE! Eriksen swings a dangerous cross to the back post that takes an unkind deflection for De Gea, but the keeper manages to backpeddle to palm the ball to safety. Alli tries to gather the rebound, although Bailly is there to sweep the ball away.
CHANCE! Eriksen floats a delightful cross to the near post and Kane beats the attention of his marker to attack the ball. He gets there ahead of De Gea, but cannot cushion his header into the net.
Spurs press down the right flank through Kane, who has Jones in all sorts of problems. The defender falls down and allows the striker to attack the right inside channel, but Smalling diverts his cross out for a corner.
SAVE & WIDE! Son weaves his way through the United defence and bears down on goal. He blasts a strike at De Gea, but it's straight at the Spaniard who saves with authority. Smalling fails to clear the rebound and Eriksen shoots first time on the edge of the box, only to send his strike wide of the post.
CHANCE! United are inches away from an equaliser as Rooney releases Martial into the left channel. A swift turn sees the forward beat the challenge of Alderweireld and surge towards goal. He curls an effort on his right foot, but it just does not bend enough to find the bottom corner, trickling wide of the post.
Kane makes a neat turn on the edge of the box and picks out Eriksen. Son surges past him and into the box, but the Dane's throughball is blocked by Smalling.
Davies gets back well to cover ground to stop Lingard's pass on the edge of the box from reaching Martial. The Frenchman would have been through had the Welshman not intervened.
Vertonghen goes on the charge through the middle of the field, but a well-timed challenge from Tuanzebe stops his progress.
The Red Devils win a corner down the left flank and Blind whips the ball into the middle for Rooney to attack. However, the skipper fails to get over the ball and can only send his headed effort over the bar.
Spurs are in full flow in the early stages of this game and Wanyama's strike has given them even more license to push forward. United are under pressure here .
Mata finds space in the box to latch onto Martial's cross, but he heads his effort wide of the target. The Spaniard was offside anyway as the flag was raised late.

GOALLLLL!!!!!! WANYAMA SCORES! Spurs take the lead in the contest as Wanyama rises highest in the box to head Davies' cross at goal and he plants a powerful header beyond the reach of De Gea into the net. A fine goal from the hosts.
Alli runs the channel down the left flank and wins a corner off the legs of Bailly covering on the wing. Eriksen will send the ball into the box.
Vertonghen sends a delightful ball over the top of the United backline for Davies' run, but the left-back is thwarted by the offside flag.
Rooney tries to catch Lloris out with a first-time shot from just inside the Spurs' half, but his effort fails to trouble the keeper.
Martial almost causes panic for Lloris at the back as the Frenchman closes in fast on the keeper in possession, but he clears his lines just in time.
