PSL wrap: Swallows fight back against SuperSport United, more woes for Black Leopards, Maritzburg United and TTM
Swallows FC team warmup
Along with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Brandon Truter's Birds side is the only unbeaten team in the Premier Soccer League this season

Swallows FC's outstanding season continued when they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with fellow high-flyers SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening.

SuperSport United 1-1 Swallows FC

The Tshwane side took just six minutes to go ahead, thanks to a Lucky Mohomi goal. They kept their lead all the way up to the 73rd minute before Joseph Mhlongo equalised for the Birds. The result means both SuperSport and Swallows are two points behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who play Chippa United on Sunday.

Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 TTM

Celtic ended a six-match wait for a win in the league by edging out TTM at the Dr Molemela Stadium. On target for the Free State side was Sera Motebang, who scored as early as the second minute.

Phunya Sele Sele had to play the last half an hour with 10 men after Ronald Pfumbidzai was sent off in the 62nd minute after receiving a second yellow card.

The result leaves TTM floundering in the drop zone.

Golden Arrows 2-1 Maritzburg United

Maritzburg dominated the first half and should have had more than just the one goal, scored by Thabiso Kutumela in 38th minute, following a Judas Moseamedi assist.

Arrows came out playing with far more purpose and fluency after the restart and levelled in the 55th minute through Lindokuhle Mtshali before Knox Mutizwa grabbed the winner in the 70th minute.

Ernst Middendorp’s team rallied hard for an equaliser but were denied by the woodwork as Modise Gadinkame sent a header against the bar while Arrows also survived a penalty appeal when the ball came off Seth Parusnath’s head and struck his own arm inside the box.
