Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
The Black Cats were abject in the first half, and although they improved a little bit in the second period their performance was nowhere near good enough. The home fans applied pressure to David Moyes by singing for his removal as manager, but he looks to be destined to start their Championship campaign next term. A poor home campaign ends in a whimper at the Stadium of Light.
Swansea secure a huge result this afternoon as goals from Fernando Llorente and Kyle Naughton take them four points clear of the relegation zone. Should Crystla Palace beat Hull City tomorrow - then the Swans and the Eagles will be safe from the drop with Marco Silva's side joining Middlesbrough and Sunderland in the Championship.
FULL-TIME: SUNDERLAND 0-2 SWANSEA
90' + 3' The referee ends the contest.
90' + 2' The tempo drops and both sides are just waiting for the whistle now.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
90' SAVE! Larsson picks out Khazri on the left flank and he takes a neat touch inside, but his strike is well saved by Fabianski at his near post.
L. Narsingh
Llorente
89' Llorente is withdrawn for Narsingh.
88' The game is slowly petering out, with both sides just waiting for the final whistle.
F. Borini
Yellow Card
86' Borini goes into the book for a frustrated lunge on Olsson.
D. Gibson
Yellow Card
84' Gibson cynically brings down Fer on a counter after Khazri's corner was intercepted. The midfielder goes into the book.
82' CHANCE! Borini weaves to the edge of the box and is brought down. Marriner waves play on and Khazri blasts at goal, but Fabianski makes the save. Defoe latches on the rebound and sees his effort deflected wide for a corner.
80' Sunderland are out of ideas as the Swans are sitting back and soaking up their pressure with ease.
W. Khazri
Yellow Card
78' Khazri loses possession and then stamps on Sigurdsson on the ground in his attempts to win back possession. He is very fortunate to escape a red card.
J. Cork
L. Britton
77' Britton is withdrawn as Cork replaces him for the Swans.
77' NO! Khazri's first cross is cleared with ease by Fernandez, while Defoe is caught offside from Larsson's follow-up.
76' Sunderland win a corner down the right flank as Borini smashes his effort off the legs of Mawson. Can they produce the quality needed to make a game of it in the final throes of the contest?
75' Larsson curls the ball into the box and he goes deep for the back post, but the ball goes safely out for play for a goal-kick. A poor delivery from the Swede.
74' Defoe almost slides a throughball into the path of Borini, but Mawson reacts just in time to clear the danger ahead of the Italian.
72' Sigurdsson latches on to a forward pass down the right inside channel and almost gets the better of Kone, but the defender holds his ground to win back possession.
70' CHANCE! Sunderland should be back in the game as Khazri's free-kick is palmed out into the box and Jones latches on to the loose ball, but he only fire wide from close range.
68' Fer's first impact on the game is to give away a free-kick for a foul on Borini. Khazri will strike the set-piece at goal.
L. Fer
Ki Sung-Yeung
67' Fer replaces Ki for the visitors.
66' CLOSE! Larsson sends the corner to the edge of the box for Khazri to strike on the half volley, but he pulls his strike just wide of the post.
64' WIDE! Sunderland work the ball around the edge of the box before Ndong slides a pass into Borini, who gets half a yard on Mawson, only to fire his strike into the side-netting. Referee Marriner awards a corner, despite the appeals of the visitors that it went straight out.
62' Manquillo sends a cross in from the left, but Mawson can only flick the ball behind for a corner to the Black Cats.
61' The game is very comfortable for the visitors at the moment. Clement's men are defending well enough, despite the fortune over the penalty decision.
S. Larsson
Yellow Card
58' Larsson goes into the book for arguing his case to the referee.
58' BLOCK! Sunderland are furious with Andre Marriner as the ball strikes Sigurdsson's arm from Larsson's free-kick. However, referee Marriner waves play on.
57' Fernandez trips Defoe on the edge of the box and the referee awards a free-kick to the home side. Larsson stands over the ball.
55' Defoe and Ndong combine in the final third to set up a potential opening for Manquillo, but the pass from the Gabon international has too much pace for the left-back to latch on to as Fabianski gathers.
52' Manquillo lifts the ball into the box from the left flank, but no red and white shirt gambles on the cross and it trickles behind harmlessly for a goal-kick.
50' Ki robs Gibson of possession and feeds Ayew, but Kone snuffs out the opening before the forward can register an effort at goal.
48' Pedestrian start to the second half from both sides, with the two teams failing to keep possession for longer than 30 seconds.
46' We're back underway at the Stadium of Light.
The players are back out for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
Sunderland were abject in the first half and the home supporters certainly voiced their feelings to owner Ellis Short in attendance. 'Moyes out' was the cry after Swansea's second goal, and the Scot has a lot of work to do at the break to stop this becoming a humiliation.
Fernando Llorente calmed any nerves with a fine header in the early stages of the game to put his team in control, while Kyle Naughton doubled their advantage with a thunderbolt into the top corner before the break.
Swansea have taken a massive stride towards safety with a fine first-half performance, leading Sunderland 2-0 at the break.

Goal
45' + 2' GOALLLLL!!!!! NAUGHTON SCORES A STUNNER! A huge goal for the Swans as Naughton doubles their lead with his first Premier League goal, blasting his effort into the top corner. The visitors passed the ball around the Black Cats with ease before the full-back found half a yard of space and produced a stunning strike to find the top corner.
45' + 1' Sigurdsson threatens down the left as he links up with Ayew, but Gibson is there to clear the danger at the near post from the midfielder's cutback.
45' There will be three minutes of added time.
44' The Black Cats advance as far as the Swansea box, but Manquillo loses possession as he tries to take the ball on his right foot and the visitors come away.
42' Sunderland are attempting to build possession, but are going nowhere with their use of the ball, with Swansea comfortably fending them off.
40' Sigurdsson gets another opportunity to whip a cross in from the right, but on this occasion the Black Cats' defence hold firm at the back.
38' Jones and Olsson battle in the air on the right flank, but the Sunderland man commits a foul as he tries to win the ball in an advanced position.
W. Khazri
V. Anichebe
37' Anichebe is forced off with his injury and is replaced by Khazri.
34' CHANCE! Sunderland win a corner and Jones knocks a header down into the path of Defoe, but from a tight angle he cannot force his effort past Fabianski, who makes a soid reaction stop.
31' Borini whips the ball in from the right, but Anichebe fails to attack the cross. Manquillo keeps the attack alive and sends in another ball, only for Jones to head his effort wide of the post.
29' Anichebe is down now for the home side as he clutches his hamstring. He requires treatment before we can continue this afternoon.
27' OVER! Jones whips a cross in from the right flank and Fernandez does enough to head away from danger. Borini gathers and shoots on the half-volley, only to smash his effort over the bar.
25' The Black Cats build as Anichebe controls on the edge and Borini picks out Manquillo on the left. The Spaniard hits a cross into the box, but Olsson watches it behind under pressure from Borini.
24' Ki is afforded space and time on the edge of the box and he lofts a pass over Jones to Olsson on the charge. However, Pickford sees the danger and gathers ahead of the Swansea man.
22' The Swans work the ball well in the middle of the park to create space for Olsson to roam down the left. The full-back's cross is headed behind by Gibson, but Sunderland have another set-piece to defend.
D. Gibson
J. Denayer
20' Gibson replaces the Belgium international for the Black Cats.
19' Denayer is in trouble here in an injury sustained when Pickford collided with him at the goal. Sunderland are preparing to withdraw him from the field.
18' SAVE! Sigurdsson goes for goal and although he strikes the ball with power, his effort is saved with ease by Pickford.
17' A pass from Ayew to Sigurdsson just goes astray in the box, but Britton wins a free-kick as Denayer brings him down 35 yards from goal.
16' The Black Cats are able to clear the danger from Sigurdsson's cross from the left, but the pressure remains on the home side.
15' Sunderland are exposed at the back by Carroll and Sigurdsson, with the former sending a dangerous cross into the box that is cleared behind by O'Shea.
12' Llorente collects inside the box and he attempts to turn Kone, but the defender just does enough to win the ball and clear the danger. The Spaniard is causing the Sunderland defence all sorts of problems already.
11' That's just what Swansea needed to settle their nerves this afternoon. They will now be looking to take control of the contest.
G. Sigurðsson
Assist
9' Sigurdsson delivers a peach of a cross into the box and his fantastic delivery is rewarded with a fine headed finish by Llorente.
Llorente
Goal
9' GOALLLLL!!!!! LLORENTE HEADS HOME! The Spaniard finds the net to score a huge goal for the Swans. Sigurdsson's delivery was outstanding and caught the Sunderland defence in no-man's land. Pickford came off his line in an attempt to punch clear, but he missed and Llorente capitalised with a fine header.
8' Swansea win a free-kick as Anichebe brings down Naughton on the right flank. Sigurdsson will have the opportunity to put the ball into the box.
6' WIDE! Sunderland threaten through Anichebe and he turns in the box to put the ball into a dangerous area. Larsson feeds a pass out wide to Ndong to strike, but he drills his effort wide of the post.
4' Swansea keep possession in the middle of the park, but can find a way through to Llorente at the top of the pitch.
2' Larsson sends a dangerous ball to the back post from the left flank, but Olsson reacts well to clear ahead of Borini. Early pressure from the home side.
1' We're underway at the Stadium of Light.
The players are making their way out on to the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
STAT ATTACK! Sunderland have won the fewest points at home this term in the Premier League, claiming only 14 of their 24 points at the Stadium of Light.
STAT ATTACK! Sunderland have not beaten Swansea at the Stadium of Light since 2012, drawing three matches and losing once in the four meetings on Wearside since.
Swansea are unchanged from their victory over Everton. Fernando Llorente continues to lead the line alongside Jordan Ayew, with Gylfi Sigurdsson playing just behind the front two. Martin Olsson retains his place at left-back after replacing Stephen Kingsley last week.
Sunderland have made one change from their win over Hull. It's enforced as George Honeyman suffered an injury during training this week and is replaced in the line-up by Sebastian Larsson.
Swansea subs: Van der Hoorn, Fer, Baston, Nordfeldt, Cork, Narsingh, Kingsley.
SWANSEA (4-3-1-2): Fabianski; Naughton, Mawson, Fernandez, Olsson; Carroll, Britton, Ki; Sigurdsson, Ayew, Llorente.
Sunderland subs: Mannone, Djilobodji, Oviedo, Khazri, Gooch, Gibson, Rodwell.
SUNDERLAND (4-3-3): Pickford; Jones, Kone, O'Shea, Manquillo; Ndong, Denayer, Larsson; Borini, Anichebe, Defoe.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
The impetus is there for Swansea this afternoon to beat the Black Cats, who have very little to play for other than pride in their final Premier League home match - at least for a year - at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland put a huge dent in the survival hopes of Hull City last week and will be aiming to do the same this afternoon to the Swans. Goals from Billy Jones and Jermain Defoe guided the already-relegated club to only their second win of 2017, giving manager David Moyes a brief moment of joy.
Swansea earned a vital win in their battle against the drop last week by defeating Everton at the Liberty Stadium thanks to Fernando Llorente's first-half effort. Another victory today would be a huge lift for the club and take them four points clear of 18th-place Hull City, who play tomorrow.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Sunderland and Swansea at the Stadium of Light.
