The East Africans will face the Shepolopolo in the Cosafa Cup final after they beat the hosts at the Gelvandale Stadium.

Tanzania beat South Africa 2-0 in the Cosafa U20 Women's Cup semi-final on Thursday to set up a date with Zambia in the final.

The Tanzanites progressed to the semi-final as runner-up in Group B, but pulled off an upset against Basetsana despite ending the contest with 10 players.

The ambitious East Africans found a breakthrough early enough when Enekia Lunyamila broke the deadlock 19 minutes into the game.

On the half-hour mark, Bakari Shime's side doubled their lead through Sanga at the Gelvandale Stadium.

South Africa pushed for a comeback after the restart, but the Tanzanians held onto their nerve despite Kisisa's late sending off, to secure the stunning win.

The defeat was the first for Simphiwe Dludlu's ladies and they will now take on Zimbabwe in the third-place play-off at the Wolfson Stadium on Saturday.

For Tanzania, the win sees them square up with Zambia, who defeated Zimbabwe 1-0, in the final of the inaugural event at the same venue on Sunday.
