That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Palace now move up to 13th in the table on 41 points and they will face Southampton next time out. Meanwhile Sheffield United are already relegated and will travel to Everton next weekend.
Crystal Palace clinch a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United, thanks to goals from Benteke and Eze. They led 1-0 at the break, after Benteke’s goal after just 67 seconds and Palace could have scored a few more, but Ramsdale was excellent in goal for United and made some fine saves to deny them. However, they were eventually broken down and Eze doubled the visitors lead late on with a deflected strike.
90' + 2' Palace are just looking to see the game out to its conclusion now, they seem to have wrapped up a comfortable 2-0 victory here, with Guaita still yet to have a save to make.
90' There will be a minimum of three minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
G. Cahill
88' Cahill with the assist for the second Palace goal, but really it is all Eze. The winger deserves his goal after a brilliant performance today, setting up the first goal and then scoring the second.
E. Eze
88' GOOOAAALLL! Palace finally double their lead, it’s 2-0! Eze easily flicks the ball past Lundstram on the halfway line and then sprints up the pitch and skips past a couple of United defenders, before firing a shot towards goal, which takes a deflection off Fleck and trickles into the back of the net. They’ve deserved that goal and that should be the three points wrapped up.
86' Cahill does well to meet a corner in the penalty area and he fires a header towards goal, but it lacks the pace to beat Ramsdale, who makes a comfortable save.
85' There's only five minutes, plus any additional time left to play here, can Palace double their lead late on and secure all three points?
83' Close! Norwood powers a free-kick towards goal from around 30 yards out and he gets it up and over the wall, but it doesn't dip in time and it flies narrowly over the crossbar.
81' SAVE! Another excellent stop by Ramsdale to deny Palace! Ayew quickly turns on the edge of the box and curls an effort towards the top right corner of the net. However, the keeper gets across brilliantly and palms it out wide.
J. Lundstram
K. Bryan
80' Third and final United substitution, with Bryan the man coming off and he has been replaced by Lundstram.
79' Sheffield United have won their last three home league games against Crystal Palace, with this run stretching back to December 2009. Their last home league defeat against the Eagles was in December 2007 (0-1).
77' CHANCE! Ayew almost makes it 2-0! Mitchell finds his first cross blocked, passes to Zaha, who dribbles into the box and gets to the byline, before dragging a pass back to Ayew, who should fire it into the back of the net. However, Stevens makes a brilliant block to turn it behind for a corner.
J. Ayew
A. Townsend
75' Another Palace substitution, with Townsend replaced by Ayew.
74' Not too far away! Townsend tries to curl the ball into the bottom left corner of the net from the edge of the box, but he gets slightly too much on it and it flies wide. It looked like Ramsdale had it covered anyway if it was on target.
73' Jebbison has been busy since coming onto the pitch, the young striker looks very lively and is stretching the Palace defence a little bit more with his pace.
J. Riedewald
J. Schlupp
71' Palace now make their first change, with Schlupp heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Riedewald.
70' Stoppage in play here as Bryan is down with a head injury, after an aerial clash with Benteke and the medical team are on the pitch giving him some treatment. However, he should be fine to continue.
68' Decent effort! Baldock does brilliantly down the right wing, getting to the byline, before playing it back to Osborn, who whips a cross into the box and it is met by the head of Jebbison. However, it is slightly too high for the youngster and his header flies over the crossbar.
67' Into the side netting! Another good chance for United, but again it falls to a centre-back in the box! Egan heads a corner back across goal and Basham drills an effort towards the near post, but he smashes it into the side of the goal.
D. Jebbison
O. Burke
65' Interesting substitution here by Sheffield United, with Burke heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by 17-year-old Jebbison, who is making his Premier League debut.
63' The game is quite open at the moment, with the hosts pushing forward more often, but this is leaving them open at the back and Palace are creating a few chances on the counter-attack.
61' BLOCKED! Palace counter brilliantly, with Eze racing forward and stretching the United defence, before he flicks it out to Benteke and he fires an effort towards goal, but Bryan gets back and makes a superb tackle to block the shot.
B. Osborn
S. Berge
59' Here comes the first United change of the game and it's Berge who is coming off, as he has only just come back from injury and he's been replaced by Osborn.
58' OFF THE POST! Benteke nicks the ball off Fleck on the edge of the box, after the midfielder takes too long in possession and the striker races towards goal, drilling a low strike towards the bottom right corner of the net. However, Ramsdale gets down quickly and gets the slightest of touches to send it wide and it strikes the post.
56' Still no sign of any changes for either team here, it will be interesting to see how long the hosts leave it before make a substitution to get back into the game. Osborn is someone who can make the difference for the Blades.
54' Not too far away! Lovely cross into the box from the right wing by Townsend and it forces Basham to flick it over his own goal, with Benteke right behind him.
52' Palace have lost just one of their last 25 Premier League when leading at HT (W20 D4), although that defeat did come in their last such game versus Leicester (1-2).
50' CHANCE! Norwood delivers a corner into the box from the right and it falls to Egan at the far post, who takes a touch and then powers an effort towards goal. He should be getting it on target, but he scuffs his shot and it flies over the bar.
48' PENALTY SHOUT! Berge skips past Mitchell and the Palace left-back can't help but try and nick the ball back of him, but instead he catches the midfielders legs. Luckily for him, Berge remains on his feet and sees his cross blocked. He appeals for a spot-kick afterwards, but nothing is given. If he had gone down, then it probably would have been awarded.
46' The second half is under way!
As it stands, a victory for Palace would put them past the 40-point mark this season and so far there hasn't been much of a fight from the hosts, who are yet to test Guaita in the Palace goal.
Palace lead 1-0 at the break, thanks to Benteke's early deflected strike, however, they should be further ahead after the striker and Eze went close. It remains to be seen whether the goal will be awarded to Benteke or Baldock, after the United defender got a big touch on the strike and sent it into the back of the net, however, Palace won't care one bit. The striker then went close late on with a header, only to be superbly denied by Ramsdale, before Eze drilled an effort just wide.
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played at the end of the first half.
44' CLOSE! Palace counter quickly, with Eze stealing the ball off Basham on the halfway line and he sprints forward, getting all the way into the penalty area and uses Zaha as a dummy. The winger then cuts onto his right-foot and drills an effort towards the bottom right corner of the net, however, it flies just wide of the post.
43' The hosts will have to improve a lot in the second half if they are to get anything out of this game, they just aren't showing any intent or desire to get forward and test the Palace defence at the moment.
41' SAVE! Benteke should make it 2-0! It is a glorious cross by Schlupp from the left wing and he picks out a completely unmarked Benteke in the box, who powers a header towards goal. However, it is slightly too close to Ramsdale, who makes a brilliant diving save, tipping it wide.
40' There isn’t long left to play before the end of the first half, can the hosts grab an equaliser before the half-time whistle? Or, will Palace be able to extend their lead?
O. Norwood
Yellow Card
38' Norwood is the first United player to be booked here, after he deliberately stops Eze from breaking forward on the counter.
36' Palace have lost just two of their last 20 Premier League games against sides in the relegation zone (W12 D6), going down 0-2 at Aston Villa in July and 0-1 at Burnley in November 2020.
34' There's not much action here at the moment, with both teams struggling to keep the ball and get into the final third to create anything. Guaita is yet to be tested in the Palace goal.
32' We’re past the half an hour mark now and it remains Crystal Palace who lead 1-0 at Bramall Lane, thanks to Benteke's goal after just two minutes.
J. Ward
Yellow Card
30' The first yellow card of the game is shown to Ward after he dives into a challenge with Fleck down the left wing and gets a little bit of the ball, but mainly catches the midfielder.
28' Good play down the right wing by Baldock and Berge, with the right-back eventually whipping a decent cross into the box, which is met by Burke, but it hits his shoulder and flies well wide.
27' Good chance! The hosts clear a corner, but only to Milivojevic on the edge of the box, who volleys a shot towards goal, which seems to be heading off target, but Schlupp quickly sorts his feet out and manages to turn it on target. However, Ramsdale reacts well and makes the save.
26' Not too far away! Townsend goes for goal from a free-kick around 30 yards out on the right and he tries to curl it into the far corner of the goal. However, it takes a big deflection off the wall and the flies narrowly wide of the United net.
24' Free-kick to Palace in a decent position now, after Bryan dives into a challenge with Eze and seems to get the ball, but he catches the winger as well. A good opportunity for the visitors to get the ball into the box.
22' Palace are looking to complete their first league double over Sheffield United since the 2007-08 Championship campaign. This was also the last time they won a league game at Bramall Lane, 1-0 thanks to a James Scowcroft goal.
20' There isn't an awful lot for either side to play for here, with United already relegated and Palace safe from the drop, which may be why we haven't had the most exciting game so far.
18' Good move! Stevens latches onto the end of a deep ball in the Palace half and the left-back whips a first-time cross into the box, which McGoldrick meets, but his header flies well wide.
17' The pace is quite slow at the moment, with Palace looking very comfortable and not pushing forward with too much intent, due to their early lead. While United struggle to put any attack together.
15' CHANCE! United fail top deal with a deep corner into the box and it is chipped back into the penalty area for Benteke, who controls it and takes a few touches, before turning and firing a low effort towards goal. However, Ramsdale reads it well and makes a good save.
14' The front two of Burke and McGoldrick for United have hardly touched the ball so far. A long ball has just been played forward by Berge for Burke to chase, but Cahill reads it really well and steps in to make the interception.
12' First real attack of the game for United, with Basham getting into the penalty area down the right wing, however, his cross is slightly behind McGoldrick and Palace clear the danger.
10' Benteke's goal was Palace's earliest Premier League goal since Nov 2017 against Everton (McArthur, 51 seconds) and the striker has now scored more league goals this season (7) than he managed in his previous three combined (6).
8' The hosts are keeping the ball well now, but it is all in their own half and Palace aren't being tested at all at the back. It is very comfortable for the visitors.
6' It looks like United have changed to a four-man defence now, they originally started with three defenders, but Basham has now moved out to right-back, with Stevens tucking in down the left.
4' Super start here by Palace, it took just over a minute for the visitors to open the scoring, as they carved United open with their first attack of the game.
E. Eze
2' Palace win the ball deep and move it quickly up the pitch, with Eze breaking from midfield and skipping past a couple of defenders, before unselfishly passing to Benteke to finish.
C. Benteke
2' GOOOAAALLL! Palace take the lead early on, it’s 1-0! The visitors start on the front foot and Eze glides past a couple of United defenders, before laying it to Benteke just inside the box and the striker fires a shot towards goal. Baldock tries to get back to make a block and he gets a big touch on the effort, which takes it away from Ramsdale and into the back of the net. Without the deflection, it looked like the keeper had that covered.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all the match action!
Meanwhile Roy Hodgson has made two changes to the side that were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City last weekend, with Dann and Riedewald dropping to the bench and they have been replaced by Cahill and Schlupp.
The hosts have made three changes to their starting line-up, with Bryan, Berge and Burke all coming into the team and they have replaced Bogle, Osborn and Brewster.
CRYSTAL PALACE SUBS: Jack Butland, Scott Dann, Martin Kelly, Patrick Van Aanholt, James McCarthy, Jairo Riedewald, Jordan Ayew, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Michy Batshuayi.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-4-2): Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, Cheikhou Kouyate, Gary Cahill, Tyrick Mitchell; Andros Townsend, Luka Milivojevic, Eberechi Eze, Jeffrey Schlupp; Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha.
SHEFFIELD UTD SUBS: Max Lowe, Phil Jagielka, Jayden Bogle, Jack Robinson, Wes Foderingham, John Lundstram, Rhian Brewster, Ben Osborn, Daniel Jebbison.
SHEFFIELD UTD (3-5-2): Aaron Ramsdale; Chris Basham, John Egan, Kean Bryan; George Baldock, Sander Berge, Oliver Norwood, John Fleck, Enda Stevens; Oliver Burke, David McGoldrick.
Crystal Palace are winless in their last four Premier League games and have suffered three consecutive defeats against Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester City. This leaves them 14th in the table and a win today would move them over the 40-point mark.
The Blades have won just five games all season, including a 1-0 victory over Brighton two weeks ago. However, they followed this up with a heavy 4-0 defeat against Tottenham last time out. This leaves them bottom with just 17 points.
