Even though Bayern are a man down, this is still a very even contest. A cross from the left looks for Muller, but the German is beaten to the ball vitally by Nacho.
We are back underway in the second half of extra time! We've seen two intense huddles from two teams that are desperate to claw their way into the next round of the Champions League.

Sergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos is the man to whip a searching ball into the penalty area.
Cristiano Ronaldo
GOOOOOOOOOOAL! RONALDO GETS ANOTHER! THE STADIUM ERUPTS! The Portugal international is picked out by a cross from the left-hand side, before bringing the ball down on his chest. He thumps a low half-volleyed finish into the bottom-left corner.
Bayern break down the left-hand side, with Douglas Costa managing to earn a corner from Carvajal. Kimmich whips it in, but Navas does well to come out and punch clear under pressure from Hummels.

M. Hummels
Yellow Card

We are back underway in the second half in the Spanish capital! Bayern need two away goals, with Real Madrid able to find plenty of gaps to exploit on the break as a result. Entertainment was aplenty in the first, so we could see some tired legs before long.
HALF-TIME! It's as you were at the interval in Madrid, with the hosts unable to find a breakthrough. Both goalkeepers have been kept busy and worried, with chances coming thick and fast at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Bayern need an away goal, but at the moment they keep bashing their head against a wall. Wastefulness has reigned supreme.
The home fans will be wondering how they haven't seen their team find the back of the net yet, with chances falling thick and fast to both. Zidane's men will be much the happier of the two, given that they can sit on their advantage, with Die Roten needing an away goal desperately. Kroos shoots from long range, but Neuer gobbles the ball up easily.

Brilliant block from Hummels! The Germany international throws himself full-stretch to intervene, after a shot from his compatriot Kroos. Narrowly over five minutes remain in the first half and the visitors need to find themselves an away goal sooner rather than later.
Ronaldo is released in behind the Bayern back four, but then rattles a low shot straight at Neuer with the rest of the goal to aim at! The visitors escape up the other end, with Vidal seeing a shot blocked, before Alaba earns a corner from Nacho. The set-piece comes to nothing, but Ancelotti will be pleased that his side are asking questions.
Over the bar from Kroos! Benzema tries to work a shooting angle inside the penalty area, but is forced to tee up his German teammate behind him inside. The ex-Bayern midfielder races onto the ball and hits it first time, but his effort balloons into the fans behind Neuer's net.
Robben tries to slide a pass in behind Real Madrid's back four to find Lewandowski, but the Dutchman can only pick out Navas. The quality in the final third has been lacking a bit at both ends of the pitch. This situation will suit the hosts so far.
The opening half an hour have been very high-tempo indeed, with mistakes bound to be quickly punished. Neuer and Hummels exchange passes, before the Germany international rattles the ball off Benzema and the rebound goes wide of the far post! Very risky indeed.
Kroos is picked out on the edge of the penalty area and tries to lift a cross in towards the back post, with his delivery knocked behind for a corner. He claims that the goalkeeper got a touch, but the referee points for a goal kick wrongly. He overturns it eventually.
Casemiro covers across brilliantly to deny an overlapping run from Alaba, with the Brazil international needing to help out his full-backs quite regularly. Marcelo bends in a cross from the byline on the left, but a downward header from Benzema only bounces off the turf and a long way shy of the back post.
Alaba is found in space on the left-hand side, but a cross from the Austrian defender sails over the danger zone, with Real Madrid managing to keep close tabs on Lewandowski so far. Width has been the key, as Bayern are always trying to stretch the pitch to open up a few spaces more centrally.
The full-backs are continuing to be the key men in this game, with the likes of Marcelo and Alaba overlapping brilliantly. The former is fed into the penalty box, but is then denied while trying to work an angle to shoot. Bayern have had the best chance so far, with Neuer a relative spectator.
Robben is put through on goal, after some brilliant tenacity in midfield from the visitors, but Navas is alert to the danger and very quick off his line to race out and make a clearance. This game has started at a frenetic pace, with the contest yet to truly settle down. Bayern are hungry for an early goal.
Isco drives forward on the break for the hosts, finding more space in between the lines, but Bayern manage to get enough men behind the ball to force the home outfit into some patient possession. Marcelo drives beyond Lahm to get to the byline on the left, but a low cross from the Brazilian is turned behind by Boateng. The set-piece is aimed towards Ramos, but he is outjumped.
Robben dribbles to the right byline well, but Sergio Ramos comes across to put the ball into touch. The initial corner comes to nothing, but Bayern keep their pressure on. Vidal is found in a pocket of space on the edge of the box, but the Chile international can only blast a dangerous attempt a few yards over the bar. He thinks he should have done better with that!
Real Madrid gallop down the left-hand side, with Isco and Marcelo linking up nicely. The former cuts infield onto his right foot and tries his luck, but his attempt is well blocked. Bayern respond with a quick break, but Lewandowski can only earn his side a corner - which comes to nothing. Plenty of action early on in Madrid.
Ribery and Alaba combine down the left-hand side brilliantly, before the latter swings a dangerous cross in towards the back post. Thiago is there to meet it and sees a goalbound effort blocked brilliantly by a sliding Marcelo, before Robben fires the rebound over the crossbar with Navas at his mercy. Brilliant defending from the Brazilian.
Ronaldo fires a free-kick attempt into the wall from around 25 yards out, as Bayern try to immediately spring up the other end and cause some issues. Lewandowski is the target of a cross from the right-hand side from Lahm, but the Poland international can only direct a header wide of the far post.
A. Vidal
Yellow Card

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are deployed out wide, with no changes made to the midfield by Ancelotti.
TEAM NEWS: Pepe and Raphael Varane are both still struggling due to injury problems for Real Madrid, which sees Sergio Ramos and Nacho continue at centre-back. There are no changes to the midfield three, but Gareth Bale misses out due to injury for the hosts. Isco comes into the starting line-up in his place on the right-hand side of the front three, with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo the other danger men.
Robert Lewandowski's absence was hard felt for Carlo Ancelotti's hosts last Wednesday, who have left themselves with it all to do tonight at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu as a result. Real Madrid are in good shape and should be very fresh for this contest, after resting the vast majority of their starting options at the weekend versus Sporting Gijon.
