Since the formation of the Europa League in 2009, only four sides (from 17 ties) have managed to overturn a first-leg semi-final defeat to progress to the final; however, each of those occasions followed on from a single-goal loss in the first leg, with Liverpool (v Villareal) the last side to do so in 2015-16.
Leipzig have made three changes to their side from the defeat to Monchengladbach. Poulsen replaces Silva in the final third to lead the line, while Klostermann and Henrichs slot in at centre-back and wing-back respectively. Simakan and Mukiele drop to the bench.
Rangers have made three changes to their side from the draw against Celtic in their last outing. Kamara, Wright and Jack come into the fold for Van Bronckhorst's men as Davis, Arfield and Sakala drop to the bench.

Leipzig played a solid game in the first leg, although they would have liked a more convincing victory. Domenico Tedesco's men produced two fine performances in the last round to overcome Atalanta and will be looking for a disciplined effort at Ibrox to fend off the home side. The German outfit did suffer a setback in the Bundesliga in their last outing, losing 3-1 to Borussia Monchengladbach. They will need to quickly put that display out of their minds in their bid to qualify for the final tonight.
Rangers have work to do to get back into the contest after losing the first leg 1-0 after Angelino's late strike. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men faced another crunch match in their last outing in the Old Firm against Celtic, where Junior Sakala earned them a share of the spoils at Celtic Park. The Gers rose to the occasion in the last round to overcome Braga to overturn a first-leg deficit, and will need to be flawless tonight against Leipzig to advance to the final.
