8th Finals
UEFA Conference League Play-offs

That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This victory sends Lyon top of Group A, with the other game between Brondby and Sparta Prague ending goalless, so Rangers sit bottom. Next up for Lyon is a trip to PSG at the weekend in Ligue 1, meanwhile Rangers return to Scottish Premiership action against Motherwell.
Lyon get their Europa League campaign off to a winning start after a 2-0 victory over Rangers at Ibrox, thanks to a superb first-half strike from Toko Ekambi and an unfortunate own goal by Tavernier. Rangers failed to get going in the second half and struggled to test Lopes, however, Tavernier did go close from a free-kick, smashing the ball against the post. Lyon then controlled the rest of the game to pick up three valuable points.
90' + 4' Paqueta wins a free-kick deep inside the Rangers half of the pitch and that will probably be that, with Lyon taking their time now, just slowing everything down as they see the game out.
90' + 2' Good defending! Gusto holds his ground and defends really well to stop Morelos from sneaking into the penalty area, before clearing the danger.
90' There will be a minimum of four minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
89' Rangers have lost none of their last 10 Europa League group stage matches (W5 D5) since a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys in October 2019. They have never lost a group stage match in the competition at Ibrox (P9 W5 D4).
87' Balogun goes down on the edge of the penalty area after he collides with Diomande, but the referee doesn't stop play for a head injury straight away. However, the Rangers centre-back will be fine to continue.
85' CLOSE! Tavernier whips a free-kick into the penalty area from the right wing and it is met by the head of Balogun at the far post, who powers a header towards goal. However, he just gets slightly too much on it and it flies just over the bar.
83' Wild effort! Sakala goes for goal from long range, trying to catch Lopes out, but he gets way too much on the strike and it flies high over the crossbar. Not even close.
82' Lyon look very comfortable at the moment, they will be happy with their work today, which will send them top of Group A.
80' We're into the final 10 minutes of regular time now, plus any additional stoppage time, can Rangers make it interesting late on?
78' Rangers just haven't got going in the second half, their best chances came at the end of the first half, when Kent and Ariba tested Lopes, but the Lyon keeper hasn't had anything to do in the second period.
F. Sakala
J. Ayodele-Aribo
76' Rangers make another change in an attempt to get back into the game, with Aribo replaced by Sakala.
A. Morelos
Yellow Card
75' Morelos is also booked for dissent after he said something to the referee that was out of turn following the foul by Ariba.
J. Ayodele-Aribo
Yellow Card
74' Aribo is booked after he loses control of the ball and then dives into a challenge with Guimaraes, catching the Lyon man late.
73' Lyon have only lost one of their 18 Europa League group stage matches (W11 D6), losing 1-0 to Atalanta in what was their most recent group game in December 2017.
X. Shaqiri
K. Toko Ekambi
71' The opening goalscorer Toko Ekambi is the latest player to depart the pitch, with Shaqiri coming on in his place.
K. Roofe
R. Kent
70' Here is the enforced Rangers change, with Kent having to come off and he has been replaced by Roofe.
69' Injury concern for Kent here as the winger pulls up with a hamstring problem after chasing after a long ball down the left wing. It looks like he may have to come off.
67' Rangers need to be careful that they don't get caught out on the break as they start to push a few more players forward in search of a goal, with Lyon looking dangerous on the counter.
S. Diomandé
J. Boateng
65' Lyon make their first change now, with Boateng on a booking so he has come off and he has been replaced by Diomande.
64' OFF THE POST! Tavernier steps up to take a free-kick and he gets it up and over the Lyon wall, sending the ball towards the top left corner of the net and it has Lopes beaten. However, it smashes against the post and flies wide. So close!
63' Free-kick to Rangers in a decent position, after Wright is clattered into by Boateng around 30 yards out and it hands the hosts a set piece and opportunity to get men forward and put the ball into the box.
62' Rangers are yet to test Lopes in the Lyon goal in the second half, they need to try and get Morelos and Kent involved more as they have looked dangerous at times in the final third.
S. Wright
S. Davis
60' Here comes the Rangers substitution, with Davis the man to come off and he has been replaced by Wright.
59' It looks like Rangers are getting ready to make their first change of the game in an attempt to get back into the game sooner rather than later. There is still plenty of time left on the clock.
57' Lyon had been pressing for second goal after a couple of corners in quick succession, but they got very lucky with how the goal went in. However, they won't care one bit.
J. Tavernier
Own Goal
55' GOAL! Lyon double their lead, it’s 2-0! Tavernier with an own goal! McGregor makes a great save to deny Aouar from close range, but the ball bounces dangerously around the six-yard box and Paqueta has a go, but his shot is blocked and it falls to Slimani. The striker's shot is deflected and Goldson tries to clear it off the line, but ends up hitting it straight at Tavernier, which sends it over the line and into the back of the net. Very unlucky!
54' Rangers won their first four home major European games against French opponents between 1956 and 1971 but are winless in their last eight such matches (D3 L5), though their last game was against Lyon in December 2007.
J. Boateng
Yellow Card
52' Boateng is booked for a blatant handball after Morelos flicks the ball past him and tries to set Kent away on the counter.
50' The other game being played in Group A today is currently goalless between Brondby and Sparta Prague, so as it stands, Rangers would be bottom of the group.
48' Decent chance! Toko Ekambi once again causes problems for Rangers, after cutting in from the left wing and he beats Davis, before unleashing an effort towards goal. However, it takes a deflection off Goldson and goes behind for a corner.
46' The second half is under way!
Rangers have been the better team for the most part, creating more chances in front of goal, but they haven't been able to find the back of the net and Lyon have taken their opportunity, but it could go either way in the second half.
Lyon lead 1-0 at the break, thanks to a terrific strike from Toko Ekambi after 23 minutes, which was the visitors first attempt on target. Rangers have pushed forward in search of an equaliser, with Ariba and Kent testing Lopes in the Lyon goal, meanwhile Lundstrum also went close, but they couldn’t find the breakthrough. Meanwhile Gusto almost made it 2-0 at the other end, but he dragged his shot just wide of McGregor’s goal.
45' + 1' Not too far away! Gusto whips a terrific low cross into the box from the right wing and Slimani tries to reach it at the near post, but he can't quite get close enough and it flies out of play.
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played at the end of the first half.
43' The goalscoring chances are coming thick and fast at both ends now as we approach the half-time whistle, which Rangers won't want to hear as they look like they are just getting into the swing of things.
41' SAVE! Great stop by Lopes to deny Kent! Barisic drills a low cross into the box from the left wing, straight into the path of Kent, who lets it roll across his body and then fire an effort towards goal. However, Lopes gets down quickly to his left to make a superb diving save.
40' There isn’t long left to play before the end of the first half, can Rangers find an equaliser before the half-time whistle? Or, will Lyon go on and double their lead?
38' CHANCE! Lyon almost make it 2-0! Lovely play between Paqueta and Aouar down the right wing, with Aouar sprinting towards the byline, before pulling the ball back to Gusto, who fires an effort towards the bottom left corner of the net. However, he drags his shot just wide.
36' CLOSE! Rangers with a good chance to equalise after Kent once again troubles the Lyon defence, getting to the edge of the box, before laying it off to Lundstram, who flicks it past one defender and then fires an effort towards the bottom right corner. However, it flies just wide of the post.
34' The pace of the game has dropped slightly in the last few minutes, with Lyon quite happy for Rangers to have possession in midfield, as long as they don't get close to their final third.
32' We’re past the half an hour mark now and it remains Lyon who lead 1-0 at Ibrox, with Toko Ekambi scoring the only goal of the game. There hasn't been many goalscoring chances for either team, with much of the possession coming in the middle of the pitch.
I. Slimani
Yellow Card
30' Slimani slides in and makes a needless challenge on Balogun, catching the defender late and he can have no complaints with that yellow card.
29' SAVE! Kent does well to beat Boateng to the ball after a ball in behind and the winger then flicks it out wide to Aribo, who drills a low shot towards the bottom left corner of the net. However, Lopes gets down well and makes a good save.
27' Including qualifiers, Rangers have lost two of their last three home matches in European competition, one more than in their previous 23 at Ibrox (W16 D6).
25' Lyon look full of confidence now, they are on top following the opening goal, which was their first shot on target. Can Rangers respond and get an equaliser before the break?
Bruno Guimarães
23' Guimaraes picked up the ball initially in midfield and spotted Toko Ekambi in space down the left wing, playing it out wide to his team-mate, who did the rest with a superb finish.
K. Toko Ekambi
23' GOAL! Lyon take the lead and what a goal it is from Toko Ekambi! The visitors break forward quickly and work it out wide to Toko Ekambi, who runs at Tavernier and cuts inside onto his right foot, before unleashing a terrific strike from outside the box that beats McGregor and flies into the bottom right corner of the net. It’s 1-0 after 23 minutes.
22' Kent has looked lively for Rangers so far today, with the winger looking like the hosts brightest spark and someone who may be able to unlock the Lyon defence.
20' Into the wall! Emerson steps up to take a free-kick in a good position, but he doesn't get enough on it and the ball flies straight into the Rangers wall, before Caqueret picks up the rebound, but he sends his effort well wide.
19' Free-kick to Lyon in a good position, around 30 yards out and within shooting range, after Davis dived into a challenge with Guimaraes and caught him late. Can Lyon test McGregor from here?
18' Rangers are currently sitting deep inside their own half, soaking up the Lyon pressure with everyone back behind the ball as the visitors enjoy their best spell of the game so far.
16' Slimani tries to get in behind the Rangers defence, skipping past Balogue after a deep ball through the lines and he just manages to stay onside. However, the striker handballs it as he tries to take it down and Rangers win a free-kick.
C. Goldson
Yellow Card
14' Goldson is booked for his foul on Toko Ekambi, with the referee showing him the yellow card once he had finished receiving some medical treatment.
13' Stoppage in play here Goldson slides in and catches Toko Ekambi high and late on the touchline. A very poor challenge by the Rangers centre-back and both players require some medical treatment.
11' Rangers and Lyon have faced previously in the 2007-08 Champions League group stages – on both occasions, the away side won 3-0.
9' The visitors are yet to venture into the final third, with Rangers doing a good job of keeping them away and the hosts have looked the better team in the opening minutes.
7' Well wide! Kent whips a good cross into the box from the left wing, but it is headed away by Denayer and Davis picks it up on the edge of the penalty area. However, his volley flies way off target.
5' There is a cracking atmosphere at Ibrox at the moment, with the home crowd jeering every touch of the ball that Lyon have and it forces an error, with the visitors looking nervous in possession and Rangers win it back.
3' Decent start here by Rangers, they are enjoying the early possession and are getting the ball into the final third, but haven't yet created anything to test Lyon.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all the match action!
