The visitors had a good game but failed to take their chances and ended up drawing against their hosts

Posta Rangers extended their unbeaten run in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) to four games after drawing 1-1 with Bandari FC.

Shaban Kenga opened the scoring for the coastal-side in the first half, but Francis Nambute ensured his team got a point with a second-half strike.

It took the visitors just eight minutes to show they mean business when Darius Msagha managed to find Wycliffe Ochomo in a good area. The striker passed the ball to Atariza Meja whose effort narrowly went over the bar.

The Dockers looked a settled side, trying to string together passes from the back and sometimes relied on counter-attacks. Chances came but Twahir Muhiddin's side could not take them.

Captain Joseph Mbugi had a chance to give the Mailmen a lead after half an hour after Felly Mulumba had conceded a free-kick in a dangerous area. The midfielder, however, could not get the ball past the wall.

The impressive Dockers were rewarded for their resilience in the 45th-minute when Kenga managed to beat Simon Mbugu and Humphrey Okoti, before unleashing a good shot which was deflected past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

It turned out to be a physical contest at Narok Stadium and Wycliffe Ochomo was forced out after getting injured in the process, with William Wadri taking his place.

Posta Rangers levelled matters in the 65th minute when Mbugua brought in a good cross; the defenders could not deal with it allowing Nambute to find the back of the net.

The lively Wadri thought he had scored in the 70th minute when he headed in a Msagha cross, only to see the offside flag go up. Despite efforts by the visitors to find a winner, Posta Rangers remained firm to extend their unbeaten run to four games.

The Mailmen are now on 29 points in the eighth position while the Dockers are 11th with 10 points fewer.
