The Uefa Nations League semi-final draw has taken place to decide the line-up for the final few matches of the competition.
England began the day as favourites to win the tournament at 15/8 (2.88) with bet365. That price has been left alone by the odds compilers after Gareth Southgate's side were drawn with Netherlands in the second semi-final.
The Three Lions will take on the Oranje on June 6 in Guimaraes and bet365 still make them the most likely team to come out on top.
The Dutch have failed to qualify for the last two major international tournaments but Ronald Koeman's men can secure their spot at Euro 2020 if they are crowned champions of the Nations League this summer. It's 3/1 (4.0) that they do just that from a pre-draw quote of 11/4 (3.75).
The big winners from the draw were hosts Portugal who were clipped to 2/1 (3.0) in the outright market. The reigning European champions will not only have home advantage in June, but they have been paired with Switzerland (11/2) who are the weakest semi-finalists – at least as far as the odds compilers are concerned.
The winner of that first game on June 5 in Porto will also have an extra day to prepare for the showpiece finale which takes place four days later. With that in mind it’s understandable to the Euro 2016 winners have their price adjusted to take these factors into account.
