Sydney FC (4-4-2): Redmayne (GK); Zullo, Calver, Wilkinson, Grant; Ninkovic, O'Neill, Brillante, de Jong; Le Fondre, Brosque. Subs: Cisak (GK), Retre, Caceres, Ghoochannejhad, De Silva.
Perth Glory (3-4-3): Reddy (GK); Lowry, Djulbic, Spiranovic; Davidson, Juande, Kilkenny, Franjic; Chianese, Castro, Ikonomidis. Subs: Velaphi (GK), Brimmer, Keogh, Neville, Santalab.
There is plenty at stake tonight with a championship to play for but it will also be a fitting farewell for either one of two players retiring at the conclusion of proceedings tonight. Perth's Brendan Santalab will be on the bench and hoping for a farewell to remember when he comes on later in the match. Sydney FC captain Alex Brosque will be hoping to finish his career on a high by lifting the trophy at the end of the match.
Things have a funny way of working out and work out is exactly what has happened. Perth Glory were clearly the best team of the season and they cruised to the Premiers Plate well before the final round. Sydney were also clearly the second best team of the season, therefore, it's fitting that first will play second in the Grand Final.
Good evening and welcome to Optus Stadium for the 2019 Hyundai A-League Grand Final between Perth Glory and Sydney FC.
