That's all from Stade de Gerland. I've been Jonathan Davies - thank you for following the LIVE action of the UEFA Champions League, hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, have a very good evening!
Lyon suffered last-minute heartbreak in their final European game at Stade de Gerland, as Kalifa Coulibaly hammered the final nail into their UEFA Champions League coffin with a winning goal. Danijel Milicevic's free kick had levelled things up in the first half and cancelled out Jordan Ferri's opener. Gent have guaranteed themselves European competition after Christmas, whether that is in the Champions League or Europa League will be revealed during the final matchday.
FULL TIME: LYON 1-2 GENT
IT'S ALL OVER! Lyon are out and Gent move second in Group H.
K. Coulibaly
Goal
Gent
GENT WINNER!!! That will surely give them the points! Coulibaly is too strong for Yanga-Mbiwa and beats Lopes with his header, that bounces over the line off the underside of the crossbar.
D. Miličević
Assist
Gent
Assist Danijel Miličević
B. Raman
Yellow Card
Gent
Raman is booked for time wasting after kicking the ball away.
It is looking very unlikely as we enter the final 60 seconds. Gent now have the ball as well.
FOUR MINUTES! That is how long Lyon have to rescue themselves from elimination at the group stage. Can they do it?
K. Coulibaly
L. Depoitre
Gent
Substitution Laurent Depoitre Kalifa Coulibaly
VITAL CLEARANCE! The ball comes to Lacazette at the far post, but his shot is well cleared away by Rafinha before any of his team mates can react.
N. Asare
Yellow Card
Gent
Asare is now booked by the referee and Lyon have another free kick in a decent position with Valbuena stood over it.
WHY DIDN'T HE PASS?! Lacazette runs into the heart of the Gent defence and has Tolisso for support, but opts to go himself and the visitors intercept the ball before clearing. The chances continue to go begging for the hosts.
M. Cornet
J. Ferri
Olympique Lyonnais
This is the final throw of the dice from Lyon. Gnaly Cornet is thrown on for the remaining five minutes in place of Ferri.
ALMOST IN BEHIND! Lacazette looks for the run of Darder with a clever reverse through ball, but Nielsen shows good strength to shield the striker away from getting a shot on goal.
Rafinha
B. Dejaegere
Gent
The Belgian side make their second change of the night and Dejaeghere is given a rest, while Rafinha takes his place.
That just about sums it up for the hosts. Valbuena overhits his delivery and sends the ball aimlessly behind for a goal kick.
Lyon's build-up play is very promising indeed, but they just seem to run out of ideas when they reach the final third. They have a free kick here, though.
Time is running out for the hosts. They still need to offer a whole lot more if they are to save their Champions League campaign. It is looking increasingly unlikely as the minutes tick away.
S. Kums
Yellow Card
Gent
The referee is going into his pocket again and, this time, it is the Gent skipper who will have his name taken.
C. Beauvue
R. Ghezzal
Olympique Lyonnais
Fournier's intentions are clear with this substitution as Claudio Beauvue is thrown into the action. Ghezzal makes way for the striker.
The atmosphere appears to be very subdued inside the stadium. Lyon need the fans behind them now more than ever.
We are now into the final 19 minutes  here at Stade de Gerland. Lyon are still heading out of the competition as things stand, unless they can find a goal from somewhere.
Some nice play from Lyon around the edge of the penalty area sees Ferri fire a shot over the bar. It was a good build-up from the hosts, but lacked the necessary quality when it was needed.
B. Raman
K. Saief
Gent
Gent now make their first substitution of the night, with Benito Raman replacing the fairly disappointing Saief.
STICK A LEG OUT! Valbuena whips a dangerous ball into the thick of the Gent area, but it flashes straight through and out for a goal kick as nobody can react quickly enough.
Sergi Darder
S. Malbranque
Olympique Lyonnais
Fournier makes his first change of the night as he brings on Sergi Darder in place of Malbranque, who has endured a fairly quiet evening for the hosts.
WHAT A SAVE! Lyon surge towards the Gent penalty area and the ball is laid off for Ghezzal, whose shot is somehow kept out by a wonderful stop from Sels.
The set-piece came to nothing in the end for the hosts, as Valbuena shot straight into the wall. They have the ball back, though, and will keep plucking away.
T. Foket
Yellow Card
Gent
Foket is booked for a trip on the edge of the area and Lyon are awarded the free kick in a very dangerous position.
The hosts continue to build momentum and it takes some good last-ditch defending from the visitors to prevent Ghezzal from getting a shot on goal.
Lyon are slowly starting to gain the upper hand in this contest. They are enjoying far more of the ball and looking the most dangerous of the two sides.
WASTED! The hosts are awarded a free kick just outside the area and slightly off centre. Ghezzal hits it straight into the wall, however, before the follow-up is blazed over.
CHANCE! Valbuena pulls away at the far post and is picked out by a deep cross, but his volley is tame and fairly easily gathered by Sels.
Both sides are still looking to stamp their authority on proceedings in this second half. The play is still searching for flow since the break.
J. Ferri
Yellow Card
Olympique Lyonnais
Ferri picks up a fairly costly booking for Lyon. He will now miss their final game against Valencia.
KICK OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Lyon get us back underway.
The teams are back out on the pitch and a crucial second 45 minutes are about to commence.
Gent will be pleased with the way they responded to going behind. It was a wonderful free kick from Dejaeghere to equalise and, remember, a win here puts them second in Group H.
As things stand, Lyon are heading out of the UEFA Champions League. That is unless they can find a winner in this second half. Everyone needs to stand up and be counted for the hosts in these final 45 minutes of European football at Stade de Gerland.
HALF TIME: LYON 1-1 GENT
The referee blows his whistle for half time.
The fourth official holds up his board to indicate that there will be an additional minute of stoppage time at the end of this first half.
GOOD SAVE! Dejaeghere is completely unmarked in the six-yard area and nods the ball towards goal, but Lopes springs himself across brilliantly to claw it away.
JUST WIDE! Valbuena tries his luck himself for the hosts. He cuts inside onto his left foot and his effort is not too far wide of the target.
BETTER CONTACT REQUIRED! Valbuena picks the ball up near the touchline inside the area. His cross is met by Lacazette, but he cannot make full contact with the ball and sees the chance go begging.
H. Bedimo
Yellow Card
Olympique Lyonnais
Bedimo is booked by the referee for a cynical foul on Depoitre, who was looking to counter before been tripped.
Rafael stings the palms of Sels with a powerful effort from a tight angle. The keeper would have been embarrassed had he conceded from there and made sure that that was not the case.
There is a slight break in play here, as Dejaeghere receives attention following a challenge from Valbuena. He is holding his neck as he hobbles to the sideline, but appears OK to continue.
Gent look to press home their territorial advantage from a corner, but are quickly hit on the counter attack once again. Lacazette looks to square the ball for Valbuena, but a foot in the defence deflects it back to Sels.
D. Miličević
Goal
Gent
YES, IT CAN!!! A cleverly worked set-piece sees three players dummy the ball, before Milicevic sweeps the ball brilliantly into the corner beyond the dive of Lopes.
Another good opportunity for Gent, who are awarded a free kick 25 yards out and just to the right of goal. Could this be their way back into the contest?
STAT ATTACK! Both sides have recently seen good unbeaten runs come to an end. Lyon's five-game streak was ended by Nice last Friday, while Gent saw a lengthy 14-match run halted by R. Charleroi SC.
THAT FINAL BALL! Once again, it is the last pass that lets Lyon down inside the Gent penalty area. Rafael was in space on the right and looked to pull the ball across, but hit it straight at a defender who cleared.
Renato Neto
Yellow Card
Gent
Neto is the second Gent player to go into the book tonight.
Good defending saves Gent. Lyon launch another dangerous counter attack and some intricate play almost sees them make it 2-0, only for good alertness to see the visitors clear the danger.
WHAT A CHANCE! Gent push forward again and the ball ricochets kindly into the path of Dejaeghere, who shoots first time but can only fire his effort way over the bar.
The visitors are starting to ask more questions of the hosts. They are searching for a way back into this game, but need to offer more in the final third.
GOOD SAVE! Lyon deal with the free kick and launch a quick counter attack with Lacazette leading the charge. He fires a shot away and Sels does well to push it wide of the target.
Gent are awarded a free kick in a very dangerous position here after Dejaeghere is brought down. It is 25 yards from goal and slightly to the right of the target.
L. Nielsen
Yellow Card
Gent
Nielsen is the first player to have his name taken by the referee this evening, following a rash challenge in the centre of the field.
STAT ATTACK! Lyon have won all five of their home matches against Belgian opposition in UEFA competition, while Gent have lost all three of their visits to France.
ALMOST! Within seconds, Lacazette chases a long kick downfield. He gets to the ball ahead of Sels but heads it straight against him, much to the huge relief of the Gent keeper.
Gent get their first sight on goal after being awarded a corner. The ball is cleared only as far as Saief, but his shot is very tame and easily gathered by Lopes.
That was quite disappointing, however, as far as the hosts are concerned. For some reason, they opted to play it short and Gent quickly recovered possession to snuff out the danger. They were in a good position then and should have made the most of it.
Lyon have got their tails up here. That was a beautifully crafted goal that was finished brilliantly by Ferri. They now have a free kick near the far touchline, after Malbranque was fouled by Neto.
J. Ferri
Goal
Olympique Lyonnais
WHAT A START FOR LYON!!! Bedimo's ambitious long-range effort is blocked but the ball breaks kindly for Ghezzal, who slides it through for Ferri to provide a neat finish beyond Sels.
R. Ghezzal
Assist
Olympique Lyonnais
Assist Rachid Ghezzal
It has been a fairly open start to this game. Both sides are playing with urgency and their reasons may be different, but they have plenty of motivation for getting a win this evening.
This is the last ever European match to take place at Stade de Gerland. Lyon will want to go out on a high with a victory and keeping their hopes of qualification for the knockout stages alive.
KICK OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Gent get us underway kicking from left to right.
HERE THEY COME! The teams have made their way out onto the field and, in Lyon's first match here since the dreadful events in Paris, the French national anthem is currently being observed.
GENT SUBS: Vandenbussche, Vitas, Rafinha, Coulibaly, Poletanovic, Raman, Simon.
GENT (3-4-2-1): Sels; Nielsen, Mitrovic, Asare; Foket, Kums, Neto, Saief; Milicevic, Dejaegere; Depoitre.
Hein Vanhaezebrouck makes just two changes for Gent following their 5-0 win over KVC Westerlo last weekend. Danijel Miličević and Laurent Depoitre come into the starting 11, while Benito Raman and Kalifa Coulibaly drop to the bench.
LYON SUBS: Gorgelin, Beauvue, Darder, Morel, Rose, Cornet, Mvuemba.
LYON (4-3-3): Lopes; Rafael, Bisevac, Yanga-Mbiwa, Bedimo; Ferri, Tolisso, Malbranque; Ghezzal, Lacazette. Valbuena.
Hubert Fournier makes four changes for Lyon from their 3-0 defeat at Nice in Ligue 1 last Friday. Henri Bedimo, Milan Bisevac, Steed Malbranque and Rachid Ghezzal all come into the starting 11, Jeremy Morel, Sergi Darder and Claudio Beauvue all drop to the bench, while Maxime Gonalons is suspended after his red card against Zenit.
Following Zenit St. Petersburg's victory over Valencia earlier, a win is what both sides are purely after. Lyon need three points to stay in the competition, while a victory for Gent would lift the Belgians into second place in Group H.
GOOD EVENING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! This is Jonathan Davies welcoming you to LIVE text commentary of the UEFA Champions League. We're at Stade de Gerland tonight as Olympique Lyonnais host KAA Gent.
