The Oranje needed a last-gasp goal to beat New Zealand in their opening game but Sarina Wiegman's side should assert their dominance in Valenciennes

Netherlands and Cameroon had contrasting results in their opening World Cup clashes.

The Oranje snatched three points against New Zealand courtesy of a 92nd-minute goal, while Canada came out on top against Alain Djeumfa's side by the same 1-0 scoreline.

Latest odds

The reigning European champions are expected to keep their perfect record in tact, with 888Sport offering just 1/7 (1.14) about a Dutch win.

Cameroon are the 18/1 (19.0) outsiders in Valenciennes while it's 13/2 (7.50) that the teams settle for a point apiece.

Team News

Jill Roord came off the substitutes bench to finally break the New Zealand resistance in Le Havre. The Bayern Munich midfielder is 12/5 (3.40) to get on the scoresheet this time around.

Claudine Meffometou had Cameroon's only real effort against Canada and the African side will need to produce more in the final third if they are to kick-start their World Cup campaign.

The Oranje may have laboured to an opening win but given their pedigree in recent years, it's reasonable to expect a marked improvement for this clash.

Including a penalty shootout victory over China in the Algarve Cup, the Dutch are currently on a five-game winning streak in all competitions.

Their staunch defence has kept four straight clean sheets and Cameroon are likely to struggle to make an impact given their toothless showing last time out. It's just 4/9 (1.44) that the Dutch win and keep a clean sheet in this one.

The Indomitable Lionesses qualified for this tournament courtesy of a third-place finish in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, but that form leaves a lot to be desired compared to their competition on this stage.

Spain eased past Cameroon 4-0 in a recent friendly and a similar result can't be ruled out here. 888Sport offer 5/4 (2.25) that Netherlands beat the -2 goal handicap (i.e winning by three clear goals or more) and that looks a worthy selection.

The Dutch have beaten fellow World Cup participants Australia (3-0) and Chile (7-0) by big scorelines in the build-up to this campaign and it would be no surprise if they proved a class above their opposition once more in Valenciennes.
