8th Finals
UEFA Europa League

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
The two teams play each other in the next round of Champions League Group H matches in the reverse fixture in Turin. United face Everton at Old Trafford in the Premier League at the weekend, while Juve play Empoli on the road.
Juventus continue their charge towards the knockout stage of the Champions League with a win over Manchester United courtesy of Paulo Dybala's strike in the first half at Old Trafford. The Italian outfit were dominant in the opening 45 minutes and deservedly took the lead when Dybala converted from close range after being teed up by a combination of Cristiano Ronaldo and Juan Cuadrado. The visitors had opportunities to kill off the contest, but failed to take them. United improved slightly in the second half, but couldn't break through Juve's defensive wall. Paul Pogba came the closest when his drive from distance struck the post, but Massimiliano Allegri's men were able to hold out for the three points.
90' + 3' There are muted appeals for a penalty as Rashford chases a long ball and goes down after being shoved in the back by Barzagli. The referee is not interested though.
90' + 2' Douglas Costa and Bernardeschi take the pace out of the game, edging the ball towards the corner. United are running out of time here.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
90' Martial turns away from Bonucci 30 yards from goal and goes for the early strike on target. However, he fails to generate the power on his effort, allowing Szczesny to make a comfortable stop.
89' Bonucci goes for a shot from 25 yards from goal with little support around him, although he smashes his effort over the bar.
88' Juventus are able to take the pace out of the game by winning a corner. Precious seconds are being taken off the clock by the visitors.
Douglas Costa
João Cancelo
87' Cancelo makes way for Douglas Costa in the closing minutes of the contest.
85' United are attempting to apply pressure in the late stages of the game, but the Italian outfit are holding firm at the back.
83' OVER! Martial works the ball into the path of Lukaku, who tries to pull the trigger on a left-footed strike, slicing his effort over the bar.
G. Chiellini
Yellow Card
82' Chiellini goes into the book for time-wasting.
82' Young catches Pjanic late and has to be very careful with his reaction. The referee does not take further action, but the United skipper is on his final warning.
A. Barzagli
J. Cuadrado
81' A defensive-minded substitution for the visitors as Cuadrado is withdrawn for Barzagli.
79' Bonucci takes a chance in his own half and he sees his clearance charged down by Rashford. Fortunately for the Italian, he's able to race after the ball and clear into touch.
F. Bernardeschi
P. Dybala
78' Bernardeschi replaces Dybala for the visitors. The Argentine was active in the first half, scoring the decisive goal. However, Dybala's impact lessened as the game wore on.
A. Young
Yellow Card
77' Young goes into the book for a foul on Alex Sandro.
75' OFF THE POST! Pogba is inches away from a leveller for the home side. The Frenchman collects on the edge of the box and fires a left-footed strike towards the bottom corner. It curls away from Szczesny and strikes the post. Pogba's effort rebounds off the woodwork towards the Juve keeper, striking his head before bouncing wide. So close for Mourinho's men.
73' Bentancur lifts a ball over the top of Lindelof towards Ronaldo, but it just skips away from the Portuguese and into De Gea's hands.
71' Juventus are not enjoying the control they had in the first half, but their defensive resilience is on full display at the back. United haven't been able to test Szczesny yet - something the Pole was not accustomed to during his days as an Arsenal player on this ground.
69' Lindelof again holds his composure under pressure as Cancelo and Dybala converge on him after Shaw loses out down the left. The Swede regains possession before he's forced to clear into touch.
68' Lindelof has played well this evening and continues his fine performance by cutting off Ronaldo's run to intercept Cancelo's attempted throughball.
66' Juve display their dangerous side by scything through United on the counter. Shaw is back to make an important intervention to stop Cancelo's cross.
65' The Red Devils are attempting to turn the tables on the visitors, but are screaming out for a clinical edge in the box.
64' Smalling wins possession from Ronaldo and runs forward with purpose down the right flank. He sends his cross low into the box in a dangerous area, but there's no one there for the home side to capitalise.
62' United are starting to grow into the contest, but are lacking a touch of quality in the final third. Crosses from Mata and Young are not good enough to pick out red shirts in the box.
60' Mata takes the free-kick and overhits his delivery straight out for a goal-kick. His set-pieces have not been good enough today.
B. Matuidi
Yellow Card
59' Matuidi goes into the book for his challenge on Young. He wiped him out and can have no complaints.
59' Mata asks a lot of Young to raid into space down the right flank. The United skipper does brilliantly to reach the ball and he wins a free-kick for a rash challenge from Matuidi.
57' Pogba feeds a pass into the feet of Mata, who tries a neat turn around Chiellini, but Szczesny is alert to gather ahead of the midfielder.
55' Juventus are continuing to edge the game with their control of the ball. United's midfield are on the back foot once again.
53' United's frustration in the final third continues as Lukaku and Rashford fail to combine. Matuidi challenges the England man before he can bring Lukaku's offload under control.
52' WHAT A SAVE! De Gea keeps United in the game with a brilliant save to keep Ronaldo at bay. Juve open up United ease down the right flank and Cuadrado tees up Ronaldo for a strike on the edge of the box. He powers his effort towards the top corner and the ball looks destined for the net before the Spaniard gets a hand to it to turn it over.
50' Matuidi beats the challenge of Young and Pogba with ease down the left flank. He steers the ball towards Ronaldo in the middle, but Lindelof clears behind for a corner.
49' GREAT TACKLE! Martial latches on to a ball over the top and breaks away from Cancelo. He shapes to shoot on his left foot, only to be denied by an inch-perfect challenge by Bonucci. He timed that tackle brilliantly.
48' Dybala is the first Argentinian to score a Champions League goal at Old Trafford since Pablo Aimar in November 2011 for Benfica.
47' United break into the Juve box and apply pressure through Martial, but neither the Frenchman or Lukaku can get a shot away amid tight pressure.
46' Juve are on the offensive immediately as Alex Sandro surges down the left flank. He helps the ball into the middle, but Matic gets back to chest it back to De Gea.
46' We're back underway at Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho needs another inspirational team-talk to get his side back into the game. They've come from behind twice in their last two matches to earn points, but they've barely laid a glove on Juventus in the first half. The Red Devils do not have a lot of options on the bench, making life even harder on the players currently out on the pitch.
Paulo Dybala's strike has handed Juventus a 1-0 lead at half-time against Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Italian side went ahead in the 17th minute after Cristiano Ronaldo's cross was worked into the path of Dybala by Juan Cuadrado, allowing the Argentine to slot the ball home. Massimiliano Allegri's men could have been further ahead, although Ronaldo, Joao Cancelo and Blaise Matuidi were all denied by David de Gea. At the other end of the pitch, the home side offered next to nothing in terms of an attacking threat.
43' Cancelo knocks the ball past Lindelof to attempt to surge past the United defender. However, the Swede holds his ground to get there ahead of the Juve man and clear the danger.
42' WIDE! Dybala turns away from two United defenders on the edge of the box and tries to bend a left-footed strike beyond De Gea, but his efforts lacks the curl to hit the target.
40' BLOCK! Shaw has to put his body on the line at the back as Bentancur drives forward. He goes for the blast on the half-volley, but the England man's block prevents it from travelling towards goal.
38' OVER! Juve keep the attack alive and Cuadrado whips a cross deep towards Ronaldo and Matuidi. The latter loops a header towards goal that just creeps over De Gea's bar, although the United keeper appeared to have it covered.
38' DOUBLE SAVE! Ronaldo takes the free-kick from almost 30 yards. However, he strikes his effort with venom forcing De Gea to beat the ball away from goal. Matuidi latches on to the rebound and volleys his effort into the ground, but the Spaniard recovers to palm it to safety.
37' A poor cross from Martial is cleared with ease by Bonucci and it allows the visitors to break. Ronaldo is brought down on the flank by Young in his desperate attempt to get back.
35' Juventus have had opportunties to extend their lead, but have not capitalised on those openings. Allegri will not be thrilled with his side's poise in the final third thus far.
33' United get caught on the break from their corner. Cuadrado leads the visitors out from the back and into the home side's half. He slides a pass into the feet of Dybala, who sees his cutback towards Ronaldo blocked by Lindelof.
32' Better intent from United as Rashford drops his shoulder to cut in from the right flank. He beats a couple of challenges before being crowded out. The home fans inside Old Trafford respond to the run by raising the volume.
30' OVER! Pjanic whips the resulting corner into the box and Bentancur rises to head at goal, only to direct his attempt over the bar. The midfielder should have done better with that effort.
29' Juve are enjoying complete control of possession. Dybala makes a move down the right flank and wins a corner off the body of Lindelof.
28' Dybala is played into acres of space by Cancelo in the right inside channel. The Argentine looks for the cutback towards Cuadrado in the middle, only to be denied by Smalling. All hands on deck for United here.
26' Dybala and Cancelo attempt to combine with a one-two on the edge of the box, but the Red Devils hold firm. Dybala wants a free-kick for a challenge by Matic, although the referee is not convinced.
25' Juve are moving the ball with pace and confidence in the United half. It's a battle for the home side to remain in the contest at the moment.
24' Ronaldo is linking the play in the final third and he sends Bonucci forward on a charge down the right. The defender fires the ball low into the box where Smalling intervenes with a big right boot.
22' SAVE! Cancelo goes on the charge to latch on to Ronaldo's offload into the right inside channel. He goes for the drive across the face of goal, forcing De Gea into a sharp stop.
20' Only Lionel Messi (5) has scored more Champions League goals this season than Dybala (4).
19' United were exposed at the back and now need to respond to the deficit. They've bounced back twice in their last two matches, but Juve are a different proposition to Newcastle United and Chelsea.
J. Cuadrado
17' Cuadrado gets enough on Ronaldo's cross to divert it into the path of Dybala to score.
P. Dybala
17' GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! DYBALA PUTS JUVE AHEAD!! 1-0!!! The visitors take the lead and it's all too easy for them with Dybala converting from close range. Ronaldo latches on to Cancelo's pass down the right flank and fires the ball towards the near post. Lindelof and Cuadrado challenge for the cross at the near post. Cuadrado just manages to help it across the face of goal where Dybala is unmarked and slots his effort past De Gea.
16' Mata curls the ball into the box and Pogba stoops to make contact with his header, but it proves to be a comfortable save for Szczesny.
15' Matuidi clatters into Pogba, handing United a free-kick inside the Juventus half. Mata stands over the wall once again.
13' Cuadrado is afforded space and time down the right and he lifts the ball towards Dybala's run in the box. The Argentine is unmarked, but the delivery is inches above his head, failing to make clean contact with his header. Dybala just mistimed his jump there.
12' United deploy a high line from the free-kick and force a mistake from Pjanic with his delivery, overhitting the ball out for a goal-kick.
11' Ronaldo wins a free-kick for his team inside the United half. Pjanic stands over the ball waiting to deliver his set-piece.
10' Cancelo makes a burst down the right flank and wraps his right boot around the ball to send it deep towards Ronaldo. However, it just evades the run of the forward at the back post.
9' Shaw gifts the ball to Ronaldo 25 yards from goal, and the Portuguese goes for the offload inside to Dybala. The Argentine tries to create room to shoot, only to be denied by Matic back covering for the hosts.
7' United are solid from Pjanic's delivery from the right flank, allowing the home side to clear the danger.
7' Smalling has to track the run of Ronaldo and head behind for a corner as Bonucci's searching ball over the top almost found the Portuguese.
5' Rashford's delivery is extremely poor and is headed clear by the first Juventus defender in the box. Mourinho will not be happy with those two set-pieces.
5' Shaw is brought down on the charge by Cancelo. United have a free-kick on the left flank on this occasion.
4' Mata curls the ball to the back post, looking for Lindelof. However, Szczesny reads the cross and is able to come off his line to claim ahead of the defender.
3' United win a free-kick down the right flank for a foul on Rashford by Pjanic. Mata will have the opportunity to swing the ball into the box.
1' We're underway at Old Trafford.
The players are making their way out on to the pitch so we should be underway shortly.
This will be the first meeting between Manchester United and Juventus since the second group stage of the 2002-03 Champions League – the Red Devils won both games (2-1 at home, 3-0 away).
Juve have made two changes from their draw against Genoa at the weekend. Chiellini comes back into the fold after sitting out the contest on Saturday as Benatia drops to the bench. Mandzukic is sidelined due to injury and is replaced in the line-up by Dybala, while Ronaldo spearheads the attack on his return to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are unchanged from their draw against Chelsea, although Alexis Sanchez is missing from the bench after sustaining a knock. There is not a lot of attacking depth for Mourinho behind his front three this evening.

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford for only the second time since his departure from United in 2009. The Portuguese previously returned with Real Madrid to help guide the Spanish outfit to a 2-1 win over his former club in 2013 and will be looking for similar success tonight with Juventus. Massimiliano Allegri’s men have enjoyed a strong start to their Champions League campaign, winning both of their matches against Valencia and Young Boys, although their 100% record in Serie A was ended at the weekend by Genoa. United have taken four points from their opening two matches in their Group H matches, beating Young Boys and drawing against Valencia last time out. Jose Mourinho’s side come into the game off a decent performance on the road at Chelsea, although Ross Barkley’s last-minute strike denied them the three points at Stamford Bridge.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Champions League clash between Manchester United and Juventus at Old Trafford.
